they got a free job and got what they paid for im sure from this bias report you wont hear how many times they called complaining about speeders and the township did nothing
If this company pulled this stunt in my city they would be fined the cost of clean up and repair, I imagine they would find the entire road need to be replaced at the company's cost. They probably wouldn't pay, but they wouldn't be operating in town for long.
Reminds me of the steps people wanted built in some area for the elder. The people asked the city and it was going to cost them thousands of dollars to do and didn’t have the time. Someone took it upon themselves to do it and spent like $200-$300. The city got upset and took it down lol
Speed bumps aren't going to fix the problem they will only create new problems. They slow down emergency response damage peoples property make snow removal and drainage impossible. They are illegal to install on any main artery and can only be funded privately but you can't just install stuff on a roadway without proper permits.
@@R0n1n760 I heard that too. One dude wanted steps put in to traverse a hill into a park area, and he petitioned the city who declined and said it was too expensive. So he built it out of wood himself. They took it down in this case, but they eventually replaced it with concrete stairs.
all you have to do is go buy yourself a gallon or 2 of diesel. just spill it wherever you want a pothole to be. it eats asphalt away. might take a season, but it will work
Its pretty shitty that people have to go to this extreme to stop people speeding up and down there road. If the council gets multiple warnings that people are speeding on there road then they should come and install speed humps.
Speed bumps aren't going to fix the problem. They also have to be properly installed so they don't create problems with drainage snow removal and damage peoples property.
I say if there has been complains of speeding on the street and the city hasn't done anything to stop it then the cirty should be fined for not fixing the problem
Decided to hide his face but: 1). Has probably his full name on the screen 2.) The area in which he lives 3.) No voice changer Logic level at max capacity
Its also Illegal to speed in a neighborhood where there are Children and Pets. And the cops dont do shit about it. Instead of installing speed bumps. Go to home depot and yourself a few bags of sakrete black top repair. Get a cheap plastic bowl and make small speed lumps. About a 50 foot stretch would do the trick. Turn your street into a washboard road and those speeders will slow down or take another route. Floriduh is full of speeders. Most of them are drunk or on drugs behind the wheel. They drive like maniacs and will run you down and keep going. They have No regard for human lives.
At least they did something to improve their way of life , instead of criticizing them and their action the county should go and place some real speed bumps there since is obvious that they are needed.
This is another example where obviously people speed through there and the government turns a blind eye, Then when a kid get run over everyone is scampering back under a rock away from the blame game.
Speed bumps made incorrectly in combination with a speeding car can have it literally flying. Forget a back muffler. Imagine someone flying into your house
Fucking nonsense! The neighbors wants some actions with their hand without permission! Clearly! They dont want their kids to be protected. They just want some fight and actions with fucking wrong decisions. Then what goverment did? They just take that speed humps out of that way. Its so fucking neighbor
Speed bumps are proven not to work to reduce speeding. Multiple studies have proved cars slow down to go over the bump then slam on the accelerator to go back up to speeding. This is actually more dangerous then remaining at the higher speed. Narrowing roads and making things feel tighter is the the only proven way to safely reduce speeding as it makes the drivers do it subconsciously. Anything like excessive stop signs or speedbumps will cause drivers to just speed up erratically in between to make up the time
Good for the neighbors. And why don't they have any police monitoring the speeders? As for damage to the road? That so called road looks like crap already. Ha… I knew a guy once, due to construction on the main road everyone was using his alley as a freeway. Well quite a few cars picked up a load of nails that just accidentally got dropped in the alley. lol.
I find this really funny as the town I live in was at one time known as the speed bump capital of the UK. We have them all over the place on residential side roads. When they first started putting them in they made them too large and a few cars couldn't get over them. I was in a car with some mates and the driver stopped for everyone to get out at one point, because he knew a particular speed bump could only be cleared if he was the only person in the car.
I ride an electric scooter every once in a while, and I was in a parking lot the other day with no option but to go over these speed bumps. I went over 3 of them and scraped the nuts off the bottom of the scooter. I appreciate it when they at least have the decency to put in a gap next to the curb or in the middle for cyclists and other 2 wheeled vehicles to get through.
@@Tracert-mc1hu if you had traveled over the bump at a diagonal instead of strait on you wouldn't have that problem, it's a scooter man! Or get off and push it over.
I fully support this. If people are driving way too fast in close quarter neighborhoods then by all means add a speed bump. Lord knows the police don’t do anymore traffic enforcement these days. I can not tell you how many people I see ON A DAILY BASIS speeding up to a stop sign in my neighborhood and flying by my family when they’re out by the side of the street (in a neighborhood with a 20mph speed limit with speed bumps and stops signs). It’s unreal.
Yep. Having the same problem on my mom's road. These punk kids fly up and down the road. One just wrecked tonight, right in front of her house. I checked online, you can buy rubber speedbumps for around $150 each on Amazon (lol). I thought about buying some, but once I researched it I found you have to get permission from the city or county to install them. These people who fly up and down the road in residential areas ought to have the book thrown at them. They are part of the reason kids can't safely play outside these days.
@@christah4102I completely understand. I live on a dead end road neighborhood that is a straight away and our houses are 20 feet apart and are about 15 feet from the road. We have people who live at the very end that have loud sports cars and will drag race down the road 99% of the time they leave. Then they will invite friends over who also have loud sports cars that will do the same. Me and my neighbors have had it. I’ve tried talking to these people but that made it worse. We have a lot kids and pets that live on this road. It’s not a wide road either as it’s just wide enough for two cars to drive on it side by side. The kid across the street got his license and him and his friends would race side by side down our neighborhood road. I went over and tried talking to the parents who thought I was being an asshole just for complaining and I politely asked if he would stop. People don’t have any common courtesy for others at all it seems.
Bumps aren't going to stop the problem they will just create new problems and move it one street over. They didn't install them properly so they are damaging peoples property. City won't be able to get snow plows down that street.
He said that having those are dangerous....so speeding on a small trailer neighborhood isn't dangerous enough??....they should've made those speed bumps 2ft higher
".so speeding on a small trailer neighborhood isn't dangerous enough??." I don't think that's what's being argued ... Speed bumps need to be installed legally at least partially because of the need to adhere to specific requirements with regard to the design - look at New Jersey back in 2014 and the hell that they put on drivers for making speed bumps that were abnormally big (and the damage to residents' cars for instance) to see one way in which it can be done wrong (EVEN by the right people).
Good for the Neighbours.....we want to do that on our Street!!! If people don't have the respect to drive slow in a residential area, especially where there are children, family pets, the elderly, people walking, biking etc. and if no one is listening to their complaints, all the power to them for putting in speed bumps....it's ridiculous for people to drive fast in a neighbourhood, there's no need!!! We all care about Children, Grandchildren etc. There are other things these neighbour's can do without breaking the law as well!!!
Pleads with the city to install speed bumps.............crickets Takes it upon himself to install speed bumps..........city responds by taking them out the next day.
right thats what im saying this dbag shit starting reporter makes the neighbors look like assholes meanwhile i didnt hear one word from this turd about how many complaints the neighbors sent to the township all unanswered
So complaints from one degenerate douche nozzle outweigh the rights of everyone else? If they thought speed bumps were necessary they'd have installed them. Or they'd have put a revenue generating police officer to write tickets.
Right! Using a speed bump before the curve so people either jump it straight on or slow down totally does not work to keep the cars from swinging the curve and smashing into the same house/bike line repeatedly... Totally a joke. That's why they're used ALL OVER THE WORLD. Because they aren't useful. They make no difference. Waste of money, effort, time. They save no lives. ... Hahahahahahahaha Niko Bella-Khouf, you are not very bright eh?
@@stitchedpumpkin5905 Just because something is widely used, doesn't mean it's effective. It gives low IQ savages, like yourself, a false sense of security.
@@teacopem Nope, they don't slow speeders down. They drive passed my house all day long going well over the speed limit, 30 to 40mph in a 20. All I hear is loud clunks and bangs as they go over them. And they haven't saved any lives because none were being lost to begin with.
Who cares! People need to stop driving like they're on a highway and drive with respect through the neighborhoods. Children and families live in those streets. I support them. If the city can't make the streets safe, then who can?
Here in Lake County Florida I have the same situation in my neighborhood. I contacted the Sheriff's Department's Traffic unit. I was told that I was not the only neighborhood with this issue and that they would get to it when they could. I said I hope you do or we might have to do something on our own. The officer then tried to escalate the conversation saying you would rather go to jail than let us do our job. that was weeks ago and I've yet to see an officer in this neighborhood too slow this traffic down. So I claim for leadership from the Lake County Sheriff's Department. the officer told me there was only two people in the Traffic Unit. That's very poor management for such a broad issue
They have no obligation to enforce the law or keep you safe. And they will do whatever it takes to reinforce their authority over you because that's what's really important to them.
Roofing nails work to slow cars down or put a card board Box in the road so they have to drive around it. Or dress up a doll to look like a kid playing and put it by the road. Get an old cheep bike and leave it in the road . Just have fun with it .the cops will love it and you get to have fun .but pls video it and put it on face book so I can see it to .. come on I helped
Good for the neighbors who installed the speed bumps. We complain where we live, many of us,for years, but nothing is done.i came across this video searching DIY speed bumps as I am trying to build some myself, totally fed up.How can there be so many places with people complaining but nothing is done? There's a ton of RU-vid videos to prove how bad it is,people trying to make their own speed bumps. WHY? The professional rubber ones can be purchased by us for $200, so imagine how cheap the cities can buy them in bulk.i guess the government prefers we die from getting hit by a car. There's no other explanation
"and there's a process in place..." That process is utter nothingness for Pasco County citizens. It's unbelievable what we have to go through to get speed bumps installed. Just unbelievable. It's almost as if our local government wants there to be angst and strife amongst its citizens.
A person has the right to protect there selves and there property. This includes against people who speed and drive wreckless. If the city was not enforcing speed limits, then the people were within there rights.
Hey! I take offense to that for the rich folks! I'm poor, hanging in a rich neighborhood for a landscaping job, and they can't get the city to do squat! Bikers, dog walkers, kids on bikes, 25mph, and what do they get? They got nothing. The city gave the half mile road a speed radar. Now all the cars use their road to get around the speed radar and still the problem isn't fixed. They need a speed bump on both street entrances.
"...if the road has been damaged... " Sorry, might want to get those eyes checked because that ship sailed long before those speed bumps were put in. Looking at that road, speed bumps weren't even needed as there are practically enough pot holes to stop an M1 Abrams.
He said, there is a process. But, when you go through the process, it gets denied. It’s because, the roads are a population control system, and you don’t want to screw that up.
lmao speed bumps have been proven to seriously slow medical, fire, and police personnel from accessing certain neighborhoods effectively while having minimal impact on vehicle speeding
all people do is just slow down to avoid the bump then rapidly speed up. Some studies have even shown speeds regularly increase beyond the speed limit between speed bumps and heavy breaking is common. They do nothing to promote safety and everything to create aggravated and reckless drivers
I wish they would at least install them right. No one should be speeding down a residential road with kids. Save it for downtown, the highway and the track.
The road is for cars CARS and park is for kids or backyard ok can you selfish idiots think that the you dont own the road yes its wrong to speed but noone should be by the street you jackass.
It’s funny where was the news crew with all the speeders ??? You bash the people for taking the law into there own hands but don’t cAr about life up and down that street
Check about parking on the sides of the roads and with a few strategically placed obstacles, I mean cars, they're having to do a forced weave. Combine with good cameras and get some hits and runs when you know will happen.
The answer to people flaunting the rule of law is not flaunting the rule of law yourself. If you want to be a mini dictator go take over your own country. I hope they lock up whoever did this. And I hope it was that asshole that told the news crew to turn off their cameras.
@@damontitus and I hope you dont step in front of a speeding car. I got speeders running the stop sign by my house. A couple years ago a kid got hit and didn't survive. That prompted the stop sign install. But no cops want to enforce it. I say if they take out the speed bumps they better replace them with a cop
Sue the city if anyone gets hurt from a speeding driver if city didn't take action to help stop speeding in the first place. Citizens took action because city didn't, good for them.
People are complaining about speed bumps without signs can damage cars and all of this but no one has yet to realize that if you actually WENT the speed limit in a neighborhood, you can stop/ slow down in time to roll over it. It's not a curb, it's a speed bump. Side note, that guy who reported the pavers seems like the type to call the police on minority people for walking by his house in the day time.
This guy gets it. If you're going the limit or under, you don't even have to slow down for speedbumps. As a matter of fact, your ride is smoother over them if you don't slow down to a crawl. And if you're going the limit or under, you're not part of the problem.
The reason why you can't do this is because they effect emergency vehicles. My block got small round about a installed at the corners, took 2 years to study and then they came in. The round about were suppose to be the better choice to speed bumps. Ha! The speeders now race around them and time themselves at least once a week, between midnight and 6 am.
I'd rather fuck someone's car and saving my future kids than let my future kids get run over by some stupid drivers and just having to see that shit on camera. But I live in France so it's 'k
I'm about to do the same thing in my neighborhood. I'm not about to wait for a child or other living being to hurt, or even potentially killed before they actually do something about the speeding, and running the stop signs. Hell no they didn't go too far.
But at least they'd stop running into that house's front yard nearly taking out their porch. The other house had a car go right through their second floor. A speed bump can aim a car a slightly different direction.
Man this is so messed up I feel they pain because I have gone down to my local police department and complained about cars speeding through my neighborhood doing 80 and 90mph the police officer lady laughed and said that can't be true because the car would hydroplane I said okay well you'll see I'm telling the truth when you have to come scrape someone off the pavement and wash away the blood🤦🏽♀️😭my neighbor's and I just pray constantly for each other. Oh yeah and the people that comes through driving fast doesn't live in our neighborhood they just use our road because it's a long stretch.
No they did not go too far! I have a similar problem with my alley which I paid out of pocket to rock because my landlord is too cheap and my hay fever could not stand the dust. I have four idiots that think it's cool to peel out down the alley so that $150 bucks I spent on a rock has wound up everywhere that doesn't even start to tackle the other problems of theft in the neighborhood and I already told the city I'm putting one in I'm going to make it natural and I don't give two s**** what anybody thinks because the last time the idiot and the mustang almost took out a small toddler the legal speed limit in an alley in Nebraska well City of Lincoln is 10 mph I would tolerate 15 if these f**** understood what that was.
I hope they put the speedbump back up. I actually hate speed bumps, only because some still scrape my exhaust regardless of how slow im going, but if they slow ppl down then im all for it.
It's a bunch of BS the a county wouldn't even think of the safety of the people.and now people have to stand up for safety and they removed them. There is clearly a problem with that street like mine with speeders this is Injustice
If the city has the time to remove them, then they had the time to install them. Many years ago, before concrete curbs were installed where I live, we could petition the city for a permit and the homeowners would pay to have them installed by a qualified installer and done to city specification. We were all good with that. Wouldn't it make sense to allow these homeowners to do something similar ?
That road is already destroyed, there hasn't been new asphalt on that street in 60 years cause its a slum. City looking for some penalty income and looking to create work for the unions.
Let me get this straight. It cost the government absolutely nothing and they're willing to waste money at the monetary expense and the threat of safety to the taxpayers? America, people.
