I recently noticed a concerning trend with a lot of "overgrown lawn RU-vidrs". They pressure people with overgrown properties into massive clean ups. They call it "negotiating" but it kinda weirds me out to see that they talk people into decisions they don't feel comfortable with just to get a video out of it. I know it always gets presented as a charity or community service but at the end, it's a business model and it freaks me out to see the lengths some of these guys go just get their content. I am glad that you don't seem to be a part of that group. I really like the respect you put into your videos, not dragging anyone into a video or clean up. Keep up your good work!
Great job and pushing through on such a soaked lawn. It is terrible that a management company would not maintain their property the are supposedly managing. I would fire them as that will be one huge water bill. I have a home nextdoor that was bought by an investment group that has not done one thing to it since buying in January. The lawn has not been cut once in 7 months. To bad you are not in Florida as I would send you the address for your freebie cut as all the neighbors here would greatly appreciate and keep up their lawns. If only code enforcement would do their jobs, this would not be let go to this out of control point. What people don't understand is these "buy your home companies" do it to rent without fixing them up and truth be told are the main reason renting is so very high for those who can not afford to buy in today's times. Congrats on your new home!
I own rental homes (2) and you are right. You need the full package to be the best it can be before you show the property. In this particular case, having a malfunctioning sprinkler system would be a hard stop. You expect your renter to take care of the yard but they won’t if they are spending hard earned money on outrageous water bills. It’s not the renter’s responsibility to fix the system if you, the owner, want it done right. I wonder what the HVAC filters look like? Good job Fill!
Wow, no one called the owner to tell him about the bad sprinkler system? That really surprises me. You did an excellent job on this one. Tall and thick and soaked. Triple whammy. In spite of all that, it looks great. You sound very tired so I'm glad you got through this. Oh, and congratulations on the new house!
I believe fill said it's an out-of-state owner they had not been there so they wouldn't know about it and the Neighbors would not have any contact information I believe ?, I even saw the neighbor across the street trying to get answers to questions about what's going on so no it doesn't appear to be the neighbors fault for not alerting the owner that's out of state
To bad about the exterior water-line leak! Really great work with super long wet lawn! Looks really NICE!! Thanks for sharing! Congratulations on moving into another home!❤️
Fill, this place cleaned up really well and you did a great job despite the thick grass and soaked soil. That little shovel is a “sharp shooter”. My papa always had one on hand, and used it for all sorts of projects. It’s great for any kind of ditching work, planting, holes for whatever. I still have one, although my age and breathing difficulties keep me from using it anymore. I totally agree with you about the condition of the yard when trying to rent it. I would be very skeptical of renting a property that was that poorly maintained. Congratulations on your new home! You’re gonna love it! Love your videos and appreciate you sharing your knowledge with us. Be safe and I’ll see you next time. ❤️
Phil I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy watching you tackle some of these disasters of yard work ! I dont want to sound creepy but you have anincredible timber of voice that is enjoyable to listen to . Keith
I love that you pay attention to those "little' details. Makes for a much better result! So does the mgmt co take care of the malfunctioning sprinklers?
Thank you for not showing us anything that would give us private information. That's something I've noticed on some British channels. They don't blur out the license plates
I personally think that you did a fantastic job. Property looks great. God bless. I, for one, agree with you. The outside has to look great as well as the inside.
Working with realtors is the same way. They don't want to spend a dime out of pocket. They'll show a property with grass that's 2' tall and junk piled everywhere. They don't have to care because they figure that anybody looking to buy this heap isn't paying much and doesn't expect much. That's been my experience anyway. Fill, you're good guy. I really appreciate your videos... all the work involved, the fact that you go all out to do it right, regardless that it takes more time and/or effort. Great Work Sir :)
You did a superb job considering what it was when you started!👍🏻💚💚💚. That rental management company is totally behind the eight ball on this one. That owner is not getting what he’s paying for. 🤦🏻♀️
I always wondered what kind of equipment you had in the truck; thanks for letting us know. As far as the work you did, I didn't enjoy it as much as I did your other ones because you started the video after you had done so much work in the front. It's not the work that brings us to your page.. it's the transformation you do from the junk you take on to the finished product. I missed that part. I agree with you about presenting the home in prestine condition. Not only for the main reason of knowing if the outside is that badly maintained, so is the inside. But in addition, you will also attract those clients who don't care and possibly just another problem for the neighborhood. In any case, still a good informational video and just a little more of what you did please. 😁
When i bought my current house 23 years ago the lawn was super soaked like that, not because anything was broken, but the sprinkler system was set to overwater. I turned off the sprinklers and waited a week before mowing.
Hi there my name is Warren and I have been watching your RU-vid channel ever since I have been watching overgrown grass. I have a question I would like to know what happened to your zero turn mower that you had with your business because I am only seen you using stand on Mowers and I’m just wondering if you got rid of it😊
Love your videos but really love these behind the scenes videos, it just seems a little more friendly and personal, it's fun to know the it not alway smooth sailing like your main videos portray and you do have a handsome voice so I will just refer to these videos as your talky videos, you do the quality work that is a privilege to watch and yet again you to are a bit of eye candy, oowwhh, just give me shivers. You keep up the quality work that you do, I wish you lived near me, I forsure would hire you, and brag about my LAWN MASTER. You take care and lots of love. Afriend.
Fill.. In my girlfriends neighborhood in Connecticut. There are 2 houses that were shown with the lawns looking like they were abandoned. 1 of the houses is on the market and has been completeley redone inside & outside. Just needs a quick lawn cutting.
Congratulations on buying a new home. That yard looks a lot better now.I agree with you about people renting a house with a yard that is a mess.I know I wouldn't want to rent a place that looked like the before pictures did.
I noticed your "Speechlessness" conversation - I got a good laugh - management companies where I live, PAY to have lawns done if there is a need. I don't know any POOR real estate agents either !!!
It sounds like the owner needs to find a new management company ASAP! Plus the guy was not dressed very professionally. Jeans? 🙄 The owner should just turn off the sprinkler system for now, especially since it’s so wet. What if that water is getting under the house and creating black mold?! 😳😬☠️☠️
As I’ve said before, you have an incredible work ethic! You put your heart and soul into your business and it shows!!! Thank you for being there for so many people who really need your attitude and the kindness you show them ❤
Your right, first impression of home for sale is the yard, The curb appeal walk and drive and all grooming is very VERY important, Then when get to the tresshold and door opens the home is sold if well kept. A clean beach, makes the ocean beautiful.
I would bet as soon as that property went vacant and there was no cash flow coming in .. then the management company stopped taking care of it. Thats really not a good way to do business because you tick off the neighbors and the neighbors can often be the ones that find buyers or renters for these homes.. .. but that neighbor with the perfect lawn and then he leaves a strip of grass grow 2 feet tall right at his property line.. its like a 3 foot wide strip and he doesn't cut it.. are all those homes rented by different companies or was that an owner heh.. I couldn't bear not cutting that strip next to my yard for 2 months unless i was doing it intentionally to sue them HA! .. yeah this was a weird one heh.
