@Walsh, 4 minutes...the individuals that made the video do receive residuals from the number of viewers, but I guess 4 minutes is too long. It's like revealing a secret.
She was using Irish spring to keep animals away from her fruits and vegetables because supposedly animals hate the smell of Irish spring.. In case you don't feel like watching this whole video
I tried it, I purchased a case of the original formula Irish spring soap. I did the test, it didn't work. Don't take my word for it, I posted videos showing animals eating Irish Spring soap. It's that good. That's right, it attracts them and they eat it. :) I'm amazed by this video. Woodchucks just bury it and go on. Deer sniff it and then eats the trees they are hanging from. Skunks will tear down limbs getting to the soap so they can eat it. I wish you had shown actual animals being repelled.
I tied this in my backyard garden after I seen this video 2 years ago and it worked like a charm..and I've been using it every since. Thanks for sharing great information.
The only reason neighbors would think you are crazy for putting soap in your front yard is if they had nothing else to do but Snoop around in your yard 😂
@@BleuJoy27 mine have a huge bay window never been closed ever their light shines right into my house from my door and never off! I had to tint my door window its that bad smfh
It's for RU-vid's retention time, I.E. how long the person is watching the video. Facts Verse puts the, "interesting" thing in the title, and then reveals it deep into the 3 minute mark usually. This is to show the advertisers that people are not just clicking on their videos and then instantly leaving.
TheLondonCyclist you want cool facts and like some stories but complain because they give backstory. Who cares if they drag it out it’s just like a tv show that you know what’s going to happen in a scary movie every time but you still watch the whole thing .
I had a fly problem one spring, that somehow made it’s way into my clean kitchen. My husband found an easy hack that worked immediately. Fly’s and other bugs HATE the smell of Baby Oil. The light powder scent causes the pests to leave immediately. We pour the Baby Oil on plates and within a few hours, there are dead bugs all over the plate and nothing flying around. We also rub down the countertops with the Baby Oil about once a week during the Spring and Summer and have never had the critters return. The Irish Spring Idea is awesome for outside as it would be hard to hang Baby Oil.
@@johnnyhotrod2608 nope it doesnt we used it in our motorhome.. The mice ate the soap, you could see the teeth mrks in the soap. Want to keep mice away from wires spray your wires with simply green the spray cleaner. works great.
So annoying Time waster. This could of been much shorter ,get to the point I just read the comments Thank you comment writers Hang the soap in socks lasts 4weeks before you need to add more soap It keeps animals away
Thank you! Didn’t even attempt to watch it... The title alone told me that this shouldn’t take any more than 60-80sec tops to explain this. Soap in sock, no critters in your garden.. got it! It’s that easy.
I put Irish Spring around the house to keep the mice away, it did nothing. I found a concentrated mint spray that does a much better job. It's basically essential oil only even more concentrated...at least I think it is.
Our relatives did place irish spring soap around the borders and cornors of their house. Inside and outside of home. It is working. If you worry with mice. It works. Make sure you change out the irish spring soap. The scent wears off. Buy new soap. Cut it up and repeat the process. It works. Our neighbor been doing it for over 3 years. They kept doing it until those mices left. They have not seen no more. For years. But if those mices want to return. They will do the process again. No they never use these pest control companies. Cost to much and they dont get those mices. Mices are very smart animals. Irish Spring Soap.
@@ddflores07 I'm sorry and know its very late to reply but if you're still in need its called Mighty Mint Spray. You might also be able to make your own with peppermint essential oil. Might even find a recipe on YT. Make sure it's ok for pets if you have them. It's been awhile so I can't remember.
huh my grandparents told me about this, I've used Irish spring for years under furniture, under the house and in air ducts to keep spiders away I didn't know mice didn't like it either but to think about it I haven't had a problem with them. They also taught me spraying a 50/50 mix of Dawn Dish washing Liquid and water with a pump-up spray bottle to your house eves, porch eves and any place you have problems with wasp or dirt dauber to prevent them from building nest. I do it once a month during the 4 months of summer in my State.
I use Irish Spring in my "cash crop" garden. It keeps the critters away from nibbling on my fine leaf and buds and Jack's up THC levels about 8%. So I named it " Lucky charms" and made a megaprofit selling it at the local dispensary. Sorry for anyone out there coughing up bubbles!
LOL. I'm pretty sure Irish Spring doesn't deserve credit for an increase in the potency of your product. You can enhance the quality of your plants by using methods like selective propagation, supplemental nutrients and optimal growing conditions...but not by proximity to foul-smelling soap. Your plants were likely stronger and healthier at harvest because you reduced their stress by addressing the pests.
When someone wants to explain something right they do it step-by-step so you don't have to go back in this question cuz you want to be in a rush so I think this is a good video and I do listen to Summer and keeps away the Beatles and all kind of different things but it doesn't keep the gnats away thank you for sharing very great
i think its funny how he said that you need to use plant food if you want to properly maintain your garden despite the fact that humans were cultivating farmland for hundreds of years without having a home depot down the street XD
Shogunbloodx420 that’s because they used Midnight Soil or their own poop. They also put wood ash on it too. Not options people use now, so they now use commercial fertilizer these days.
Removing my water fountain, bird seed, and spraying a gallon of vinegar through the wooden slats and under my deck worked too. The following day birds, rats, and squirrels were all gone.
If you click on the first time then the second time. "The solution is Irish origin scent" "Animals don't" Should be enough information to figure it out. Maybe?
@@krit5 it’s when you sit down or lay down especially in the evening or at bedtime your legs literally won’t be still. I have had it for years my mother also had it before it ever had a name. It feels like something crawling inside your legs and you have this irresistible urge to move your legs. The sensation comes on about every 2 to 5 seconds, and if you don’t your legs will jump by themselves even in your sleep. Sometimes it takes me 2 to 3 hours for my legs to calm down before I can get still long enough to go to sleep. I have taken medicine for this for 20 years after they gave it a name. I have tried the soap in my bed under my bed rubbing my legs with it it did not help me but maybe I have a more severe case of it. It is nightmare just dealing with it. Hope this helps, and hope you never get it.
I use Irish Spring soap in my trailer to keep mice out when it's in storage. I was using traps and bounce sheets at first but still had to empty a trap occasionally but since using Irish Spring soap I haven't had any mice for the past two seasons.
Dryer sheets & Irish Spring keep the mice away. Put it in your summer car or motorcycle when in winter storage.. bronze wool in the intake & exhaust too.. oh, way to long. Could have been
I’ve used Irish spring soap since I can remember. I even shave with it, as it works better for shaving, it’s better than shaving cream. Irish spring dose really well getting paint and grease off your hands. Good stuff
I'm from the Caribbean and here's a little tip for ur kitchen garden when u do laundry that doesn't have bleach use the water to water ur plants it's very healthy for them and it drives away bugs and crawling insects also worms that would feed on the roots of ur plants ! YOUR WELCOME!🤗
Never would've thought of that.Thank you. Do you mean when washing laundry by hand though? Cuz my washer busted,& dont have money for the laundromat so I must try this now.
I've been trying to stop my neighbor's multitude of cats, from using my garden area as their litter box, for over 3 years! I've used mulch & they just scrape it away. I've used cayenne pepper powder, but that lasts only a day or two. Moth balls don't work at all, because the neighborhood kids always steal them! It appears that I may have finally found something that could keep those darned kitties from using my space, as their public potty! I'm so glad you shared this! Thank you!
cat could care less about the smell of irish spring sorry to burst your bubble your stuck dealing with those cats. even the cat deterrent sprayes you buy for cats dont work on them haha
Lilian Kuhn your absolutely right, I’d had that type of experience...”fresh spring soap,” Yep, didn’t do nothing at all, they did is bit into it, the dam , Mickey Mouse
i have a problem with rats.... already tried oregano, ground black pepper and peppermint(or spearmint, i dont know which one). they simply knock over the pot, and cut off the plant, and leave it there to rot.....at first i thought it was cats, but then i installed cameras....and it was rats..... the black pepper was the most disappointing one....i put a LOT of it near the cameras......and the next night they were roaming as usual, no effect at all......i suspect the soap will also not have any effect......my next bid will probably be catnip.....either the smell repels them, or the cats that are attracted will eat them....i'm happy either way.
I put Irish soap in my garden and the next summer Irish soap start growing. Just like last fall I planted my old light bulbs in the Garden. When spring hit this year new light bulbs start popping up.
Well you should plant a dollar bill or a Ben Franklin maybe you’ll get money popping up, when it does make sure you invite me over Since it was my bright idea! Haha 😂
@@sashacerny8227 I'm ready to invite you over. A year ago I took your advice and planted a Ben Franklin $100 dollar bill. Now my money tree is ready for Harvest.
Irish Spring also works to keep biting flies away from you when you would like to sit outside on a patio. We didn’t think it would work, but we tried it last year, and we had very few biting flies bothering us. It works!
I started to put Irish spring for several weeks. My impression so far, is that this soap attract Gopher, and mole and even may help them to regenerate more! Thanks
Does it work with milkweed and monarchs?? I raise them to help out local resources and would NEVER want to harm them. Is it safe to use around these plants?? Thank you for response. Great video. TVM for sharing it. 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
Doesn't the soap get into the soil when it rains or if you use a sprinkler system to water your garden? Seems unavoidable that you're going to get it into the soil.
Cherry pits work better. 5 or 6 cherry pits wrapped in foil and poke holes in foil with a fork. Then scatter all around yard and garden. It will last the entire season and you dont have to cut up more soap every 3 weeks.
@@moniquewashington4319 hi Monique you can purchase fresh cherries @your local grocery store or farm stand and after consuming them put the cherry pits aside to use in your garden. You will see wonderful results and your garden will thrive. Happy gardening 🌞👍😁🌞👩🌾👨🌾
@@moniquewashington4319 "Pit" is the proper name for the seed of a cherry. It also is the proper name for the seeds of peaches, plums, nectarines, apricots avocados, etc. and any fruit that has only one seed in the center of the fruit.
