I love Calibre’s recent sets, they remind me of how we used to play in Melbourne in the early-mid 2000s: mix of electronica, DnB, dub etc Not enough doing this anymore.
Calibre is great because dub soul oriented DNB is quite hard to come by when I’m searching, and it’s the faster tempo with the techno production style where you can make a vibe completely different to techno with all the spaces for fast percussion
45 mins of all forms of electronic / ambient and maybe 10 mins of DnB. The king, has moved on from DnB. Living in Germany means embracing more than just the UK one dimension. Brilliant, always knew he was more than DnB from his DnB tunes
He's not moved on, he's just proving he's about WAY more musical styles than only DNB. God tier level artist here, big up Dominick Martin, man like Calibre, the Second Sun, Belfast's Finest
He released ‘Shine a light’ in 2009 and Valentina 2013, he’s been on different vibes the whole time. Not forgetting releases on Craig Richards label and Deep Medi
@@NextSound170 Shame, but a good artist would never just limit themselves to one genre. Good music surpasses genre, period. I guess the dnb chapter for him is over and its time to move on, at least for now. At the end of the day, music is an extension of us, and you have to do something, that makes you happy.
@56:00 Hmmm, Calibre + DRS - White Horses but VIP??? I went to Signature Recordings and immediately purchases the DnB one, but is this VIP available anywhere?
