EPISODE NOTES:
Welcome to The Pretty Intense Podcast. Today we have a fantastic guest, Neil Tyson deGrasse. Neil is an astrophysicist, host of the StarTalk podcast, and the director of the Hayden Planitarium at the American Museum of Natural History. He has also received 21 honorary doctorates, as well as NASA's "Distinguished Public Service Metal." Everybody knows who Neil deGrasse Tyson is. He is the most funny, charismatic, smart, cool, nerdy scientist ever. I interviewed Neil four years ago. He was one of my first interviews. He was just so kind and generous, and his interview is one of our most popular, so we are thrilled to have him back. Neil has a new book out called, "To Infinity And Beyond.” This book is a must read. Today we talked a ton about the moon. We talked about the Big Bang. We talked about asteroids, global warming, ETs. This episode was so much fun. Only Neil can make a meteor earth devastating impact seem fun. We hope you enjoy this out of this world episode.

To all the haters, Danica has people like Neil to draw a contrast between institutional "science" and the other guests who share actual information about topics beyond the formal academic scope. This is called balanced interviewing. Thank you Danica.
@MatthewJonathan28
@MatthewJonathan28 8 месяцев назад
What is a hater? Because if you see someone else's energy as a "Hater" you are also a Hater of their perspective and "energy." Balanced interviewing is for sure one type of interviewing that one can respect yet also one can have an opinion of the energy being presented by the interviewed "entity" without being labeled a "hater." ALL EMOTIONS ARE VALID.... Including being a hater of hater if we are labeling "emotional responses" as a "type of person.".

The shift in the Nile didn't have something to do with more or less raining. It just moved from one place to another adjacent place like rivers do all over the world. It's about ground-plates, the crust of the earth (don't know the word in English) moving up and down.

Danica is the best! Gorgeous, accomplished woman with such a patient approach to this interview process. She has a way of handling her guests, even the difficult ones like Neil. She shows a level of grace toward his misinformation and his short sided oblivious hypocrisy as he is assessing claims and making claims. I could go on about this man's presentation because I am a fan of most of his work and publications. However, at the end of the day we are all just human and have limitations. It's easy to scrutinize from a far I guess. Danica's approach reminds me to check my hubris and ask more questions as well as see the better in people and I love her for it! If given the chance, I'd have a 20 hour conversation at least with her at this point after listening to her podcast over the years. I don't know if there is a creator. It is nice idea and I kinda want to believe, but I can't force my brain to think something is true when I have too much evidence against it. What evidence, you may ask? Well, God might be more of a farmer. Lots of mentions of gardens in the Old testament, but Jesus mentions lots of parables about sowing and reaping, shepherding. Maybe the universe exists because God grows it the way He pleases. There's that parable where someone asks Jesus about all the jerks in the world and Jesus says something like tearing out all the weeds would upset the good plants in the garden, so it's better to leave the weeds in for now, but sort everything out at harvest. Sounds really farmery to me.

200 million to 1 billion exoplanets in our galaxy alone. And imagine our galaxy is 12 billion years old. The earth is 4 billion years old. That makes 8 billion years of life on other planets to evolve and get technology. God most likely is an Extraterrestrial with technology. Why do you think UFOs have been in pop culture for many years and the U.S. just had a congressional meeting on it. It’s unfortunate the human mind is so closed off from reality and people only want to know things that comfort them. Our personal truths aren’t subjective truths.

Great initial questions and clarifying/follow-up questions. Not a big fan of interviewers who do not understand the response to a question, and then just nod with a half-smile like a deer in the headlights....clearly not understanding the question but pretending they do.....likely because the will feel inadequate if they admit they don't understand (I do this all the time). I really like that Danica would shoot back quickly when a response did not click in her head. I am a firm believer in the phrase 'there are no dumb questions' (within reason) and the people that instinctively ask the clarifying question will surpass us ego-driven people in life in general. I will definitely be returning for future interviews :)

The Steven Seagal of science. Nobody has mocked folks in the "vibrations, frequency, energy" community more than this guy has. Mercilessly criticizes UFO witnesses and anybody who believes life goes on after death in any form. Good talker but as close minded as anyone can ever imagine on the greatest issues at hand today. I haven't watched it completely yet but I imagine he will un-authentically tone down his disdain for people like us just to make the podcast happen. Fakest guy out there in my opinion. Great podcast Danica! I believe in the matrix effect because of quantum entanglement. I’m wondering what Neil thinks of remote viewing and could there be a connection? There is a documentary on Stanford Research Institute ( I lived very close to that site for 6 years). That offers very compelling evidence of remote viewing. Ram Dass often talked about the Maharaja’s ability to remote view.

You ever wonder why the marines do all those weapon manipulation drills where they change the rifle to each shoulder and spin it around? Turns out you get an intuitive understanding of your weapon if you manipulate it enough. Same thing with twirling your phone, you get a better understanding of it and are less likely to drop it or have it slip out of your hand. No cap fr fr

@@R.Tafolla 😂😂 So you believe if you twirl your phone between your fingers you'll never drop it?? Are you on drugs?? 🤣🤣.. You do realise most people who break their phones don't drop their phones while they are in their hands, I mean how clumsy do you have to be to just drop a phone that's being held in your hand?? 🤷🤷🤷 think about it...I didn't used to use phone protection and have broken 3 phones by 1.sitting on the phone when it was in my back pocket. 2. A beer bottle got knocked over on to my phone at a dinner table and shattered the screen 3. It slipped out of my pocket and smashed the screen.. No amount of twirling would have stopped any of these from happening... I use a phone protector now because a protector would have prevented at least 2 of these instances from smashing my screen.

A few years ago I thought of what the Black Hole 🕳 really is. I filmed it it's on my Thoughts, Theory, and Philosophy Playlist filmed while driving through Newport Beach Streets. My Theory is that Black Holes are just bodies of matter ( all materials including liquid and gas) being pulled in by the spinning mass in a Spherical shaped mass . Light is absorbed because all the matter it shucks in is dark and since Hydrogen and Carbon are the most abundant elements in the universe of course light won't reflect back because it Is a dead star.
@A_Stereotypical_Heretic

But we've seen them, and know that they have accretion discs made of photons... So light does in fact fall into black holes.
@ChasingDifferentAdventures

@AnothaGuy87 In to a Black ⚫️ sphere... think of what coloor Carbon is. (Black) It's gravity is so intense due to it's really fast spin... in my knowledge of materials heat treating... makes even Stainless Steel magnetic. Thus, it by itself creates a magnetic field, and that is the Dark Engery. You put a magnet 🧲, which is really Black until it is painted like the object emoji.. in the dark empty space and try to see it at night... you can't a distance from Earth to Jupiter... You can only see the effects of the object around it. In visual spectrum. The gases and all other objects get drawn to the Black Hole 🕳 and those object travel in that accretion disc.. due to the Gravity they in turn share and coalesce with the Gravity of the Black Hole. 👦👍🚀🛰🛸🌌🌠🪐
@A_Stereotypical_Heretic
@A_Stereotypical_Heretic 8 месяцев назад
@@ChasingDifferentAdventures but gravity doesn't "attract" things like magnets do. It's not a "pulling" force. Gravity is a well in the fluid of spacetime. Things fall...that's gravity. Just things falling. Plus things that have no magnetic polarity fall into black holes. Also it would need to be a monopole magnet... Because you would see things with opposite polarity being launched away from the event horizon... We don't see that. Black holes are well understood. We don't understand the singularity but other than that they're understood
@ChasingDifferentAdventures
@ChasingDifferentAdventures 8 месяцев назад
@AnothaGuy87 In empty space the spinning force is what causes gravity... exit Earth orbit gravity doesn't exist.. on Earth the spin in a Carousel 🎠 the faster it generates GeForce...Gravity Force. Towards, the outside... in a none gravity ( empty space ✨️ ) the spinning of the space rock creates gravity... then the other space materials would orbit largest object .. and depending on size of secondary object. They become tidally locked.
@A_Stereotypical_Heretic
@A_Stereotypical_Heretic 8 месяцев назад
@@ChasingDifferentAdventures gravity exists everywhere brother. It just weakens with distance from mass at the rate of the inverse square law. But there is mass all over the universe, and spacetime is warped everywhere. Spinning doesn't cause gravity it causes the centrifugal force which acts against gravity. Kinda like swinging a ball around on a string... It wants to fly away but the string keeps it attached.

Good podcast. I like Neil...he is likeable...but he needs to stop talking in absolutes like he has no way of every being incorrect. I am sure, like most scientists, he is unaware of possibilities just like all scientists before him. A bit of humility would go a long way while listening to him...but it might just be how I hear what he is saying...I will give him the benefit of the doubt most of the time. The problem is most scientist today are not all that objective. Their findings, more so now then every, are self serving. Some scientists can't even get published if it does not go along with current political or woke ways of thinking. If they want to get to the top or get published (environmental findings being the one I have see most often) then their work better agree with the politics of today.
