Its like me throwing an iPhone at you and say this thing created and programed it self from nothing With all this infinite organized scientific facts which is not even 0.0001% of it understood still Neil don't believe in god knowledge ?
I am glad not to... Jamie is an agenda pusher, Joe is an excellent listener. Joe can recognize BS, but he also recognizes that BS can sell, by fertilizing the field of the mind.
I was surprised Joe had him back on after how visibly annoyed Joe was last time and how rude Neil "I have tweeted, 'In a mirror, you can kiss yourself only on the lips' 7 times" Tyson was last time. Like when they start talking about flying cars and Neil says we already have them extremely smug, and Joe says, "Helicopters," and Neil acts so fucking annoyed that he didn't get to surprise Joe with that irrelevant piece of trivia.
Yeah, because Neil was trying to convince Joe that he creates a list of sound bites for every conceivable topic in the known universe. Then he just tried to throw together some kinda-cool sounding low voice thing that any fourth grader would know about the Big Bang. LOL
Neil's the sort of person to be questioned about the greatest telescope human's have sent into space, only to end up talking about how he moves his hips on TV.
The fact that he's 64 years old but he acts like a 13 year old nerd is incredible he's so energetic and enthusiastic about his work and making sure others follow on the same path he did and just the passion to make his knowledge known. Absolutely love this man
The Bible contains secret spiritual knowledge that can only be revealed though genuine personal efforts. It all starts in the heart. The inner work Jesus Christ taught teaches us things personally as we do them. There’s actually a secret set of spiritual milestones within our soul that correspond to points in the Bible. These spiritual milestones are extremely important and must be completed as an adult. That’s when it’s your personal choice to deal with your inner drama and own your own faith. Please do these four steps. They are the bare minimum amount of effort we’re expected our whole lives, the spiritual milestones I mentioned. They have an accumulative healing effort on your soul. As you do them you learn why the next is important. Forgive your parents, break down before Jesus Christ, ask for forgiveness, and read at least Genesis Mathew and one you chose yourself. Seriously, please trust me. Mean each one of these steps inside your heart and see what God reveals to you personally. Be genuine. It’s not difficult. There’s deep spiritual significance to each of these steps. The build on each other. You don’t get the right things out of the Bible unless you work though the inner healing of steps 1-3. Please trust me. No hate. Im trying to help you. The Bible is truth. Jesus Christ is the way truth and life.
Then proceed to explain the basics without actually getting to the meat and potatoes. Like he said in this clip he's a sound bite guy. He's another bill nye
@@twixt999 Neil actually has a really deep understanding of some very difficult scientific concepts in the field of astrophysics. Bill Nye has no doctorate in anything, a bachelor's degree in engineering, has never held a professorship in any field at any university, has never made his living conducting scientific research, and has never directed an internationally leading scientific research lab. Neil has all of these things, and he focuses on explaining things within his area of expertise. Bill Nye is a mile wide and an inch deep, and tries to explain topics from any area. Neil deGrasse Tyson and Bill Nye are nothing alike except that they both try to explain scientific concepts to the public in ways that they hope people without the formal education and background can understand. 🧠
@@cortical1 Thank you. This is exactly right, 100% correct. I can't believe so many people who listen to Rogan aren't intelligent enough to know what an actual expert is by objective standards. Mark Twain said the difference between intelligent people and idiots is that idiots always call other people dumb and intelligent people make idiots feel dumb without ever saying it. Apply this to every person on here calling Neil dumb. Twain was a genius himself. LOL.
@@robertschiavone5095 i agree, theres a reason neil has been on 3 times and his clips get millions of views. People pretend like what he says isnt interesting.
Dreamt about God having a conversation with me. He showed me a bookstore that was Out of Business. The deserted building was boarded up and left desolate. The building had a big sign over it that read Atheism. And He spoke, "How they love to talk about their big bang, don't they know that I was the bang?" And so, He told me right there. The next part of the dream took me to a secret society. There was a dark room with an unnatural cross in the center of it, again God spoke, "They say they believe in Me, but anything can come in and pretend to be Me." Many secret societies acknowledge an architect, however they don't use the Lord's name, the name that is above all else; this name is the Lord Jesus Christ. When they don't acknowledge this simple truth. Then it allows other impostors to pretend. 2 TIMOTHY 4:3-4 "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables." @godsays4081 you didn't watch the video or you would know all I did was write exactly what happened...so... actually, you're the one who just came to write a dumb whining response.
What I like about Prof Tyson - yes, he does interrupt frequently - BUT, you can tell he is so genuinely excited about explaining the Universe - it's the child-like curiosity and passion - it's contagious... He does have the 'gift of gab' as my Mom would say - but, he has a very unique way of drawing the audience in AND keeping them engaged - a gifted teacher...
It took me minutes of scrolling to find a comment actually talking about what Neil and Joe were discussing. 13 minutes and all most of the people in the comments took from it was that Neil kept interrupting Joe 😂😂😂
People are haters!! I absolutely admire and thank Dr Tyson. The way he explains things make it fun, entertaining, and logical for even someone like me to understand!! Humans are something else...😑😑
@@85geoffm How can he be pompous when he’s literally a scientist! Do you also think your professor and doctor is “pompous”? If you have a docerate in a field, and devote your life to its study, if you don’t speak authoritatively about it you are feigning humility at best. I think you hate neil because he’s black and doesn’t share your warped political ideology.
Neil obviously doesn't love himself, just needs to think everyone else around him is an idiot while not realizing he's an idiot. His whole demeanor is incredibly anxious.
Totally funny to see Joe's non-reaction to Neil's Big Bang soundbite, and Neil's reaction to Joe's non-reaction. It's like Neil was saying, "Wait. You're not impressed by my soundbite?"🤣
Yeah he gets alot of hate for being so overzealous about science. He gets pretty passionate. He's harmless though - just a guy that really loves his job. I think many people get angry not at him, but at themselves that they will never be this enthusiastic about their day job lol
@@ShiroKage009 Since “most of them” you discount so what about the minority of “them” that are legitimately laying down counter arguments to Neil? I hope he’s man enough to change his mind on pet subjects that the JWST may soon start challenging🤞
@godsays4081 Yes Neil, you have, while being arrogant, more and more set in his ways and more and more cringe to listen to. I used to be a big fan of yours too. LOL
@@Supreme_AK-47 yea, but he did eventually answer the question. Sure he could have just giving a straight answer, but without going in a different direction you wouldn't be able to understand how he got there.
@@jaredc5169 Actually, it would be easy to understand how he got there if he simply answered the question and said how he got there. Neil, though, loves to try to make everything sound grand. He wants people to share in his awe of the universe, which is fine, but it's what leads him to be so indirect when answering questions.
Some of these comments are hilarious, but to be fair Neil did well here. Bearing in mind that astrophysics is not generally something that the layman (Joe) can ‘put in’ on.
It's truly amazing how Neil is aware of the most complex concepts in the Universe, but lacks the basic self-awareness required to have a simple two-way conversation with another human
*Dont let him fool you into thinking he understands these concepts of the universe. He merely leads you down a maze of sophistry until you either forget what hes talking about or just assume its too complex to comprehend then he pretends like he explained it, when we all know he really didnt.*
@@levelwithz3779 - 100% true, everything he utters is complete nonsense, but he likes to think he's some sort of philosophical preacher to the world. For crying out loud, the man thinks that advancing AI would do no harm LMFAO....when in history has advanced tech not lead to advanced weaponry? his idiotic 'prediction' of 2050 is the dumbest thing ever.

Neil's superpower is using his brilliance and charisma to decipher and describe complex information for the rest of us to understand, in an enjoyable way.
Neil is the type of guy who, rather than say they don't know the answer, will tell a rambling unrelated story for several minutes just to change the subject.
He’s a theoretical physicist every thing he says is theory none of it is facts so he doesn’t have to prove him self correct. He’s only talking theories no facts.
This exactly. Tyson is an entertainer first. He desperately hangs onto his identity as a scientist because that identity is what validates his platform. The problem is that Tyson is not really much of a scientist. So any deeper question about the cutting edge of science just sees him flailing to maintain the illusion that he is an authority on the subject...which he clearly is not.
@@4HiSeth its because he has had no place in society besides relying on his extreme intellect, all he does is explain shit and hope people give a fuck. this entire episode was so frustrating just listening to him speak over Joe constantly rambling.
How we went from James Webb discovering exoplanets to Neil talking about shaking his hips and coming up with sound bites is perplexing. The guy can't get out of his own way.
Damn. Up top, used that same expression “needs to get out of his own way” . Perfect way to express how his superiority complex defeats his reason, accomplishments, etc..
Joe: So what is something new the telescope has shown us? Neil: *goes into 10 minute rant about him making the perfect sound byte* Joe: 😑 Joe’s frustration could not be more visible.
I was looking for this comment...I literally was thinking he was going to adjust your thought process on the question but all of a sudden he was knighting 27 yr olds and shaking his hips and at that point I had ro turn it off lol
Man I just finished this episode.. I'm not sure how Joe keeps his composure and stays as polite as he does when Neil is just constantly interrupting him and talking over him the entire time so aggravating.
I find it funny how people are only just realising this. You go back to his previous appearances on JRE and he hasn’t changed one bit, but most people back then praised him for this exact behaviour.
@@schmidtythekidd Honestly, even if he wasn't surrounded by yes men, he would be just as obnoxious and pompous. The guy lives in his own detached reality. Also, I LIKE the guy, I think he's a valuable science communicator, but you just have to know what to expect when you watch him.
I'm so happy to see that idiots on RU-vid have moronic opinions on someone who knows infinitely more than them about literally everything. Stay stupid, dummy. 😂😂😂 .
@L.E.B Facts: Covid vaccines are safe and effective (over 12 BILLION doses have been administered globally) There is NO credible study nor data demonstrating that Ivermectin (an anti-parasitic) is effective in treating covid-19 Masks are demonstrated to be effective in preventing the spread of disease in dense populations (this applies to other infections aside from covid-19 as well) If any of these facts trigger you, it is your problem, not the fact
@@MikeJones-mf2fw Maybe Neil has seen some of the feedback. Seeming more self-conscious, he even insisted that Joe continued talking after he cut him off. He has a lot to offer and should be perfect for JRE. Maybe that's why Joe keeps inviting him. Still annoying at times, but I actually enjoyed this
So.. There are plenty of narcissist traits, but monopolizing a conversation is one of the most obvious. Narcissists talk over or interrupt other people during conversations to express their views or talk about themselves. This behavior can border on a compulsion, cowing others into total silence for minutes at a time.

During the entire JRE episode Neil proved once again he is not interested in a different perspective and tries to make sure he doesn't stop talking so he doesn't even have to hear one.
