As an American, visiting England and Scotland, some of the most emotional feelings, walking thru the towns therein, knowing this is where I’d have been born and raised had my ancestors NOT crossed the pond, is incredible…almost eerie and innate inside my soul. Yep. Ancestral memories. The old understanding of the individual soul (Soul - a word which we inherit from our pre-Christian tradition and which is linguistically and so conceptually related to the word "Sea") is that it is very much a part of a larger "folk-soul" which is traditionally organically and spiritually rooted in the places where your ancestors lived their lives *into* . Christianity made a serious effort to uproot/sever/cut out the human soul from the soul of place, and we are still living with this legacy today (so many people in the west and all places threatened by globalism have little to no sense of belonging to place or to a place-based people). Time to fix that!

Nothing healed humanity more than the European expansion into the rest of the world. They always blabber on about slavery. Instead of blaming the English for slavery which every country had a hand in and many still do. They should say we are the ONLY ones that banned it and died in the thousands to make it happen.

Visit again, while you can. Without being unjustifiably melodramatic, there is a global control agenda running full tilt. The unknown people who I call “the perpetrators” aren’t even faintly done with us yet, sadly. A component of the control agenda is to curtail commercial passenger aviation, leaving the skies exclusively for the “elites”, the military and what will remain of import / export by air. No more travel for plebs like us. It’s my intention to continue visiting the European mainland from U.K. by rail if available or boat when not. They’ll need to physically apprehend us on the water, or we’ll be away. No one died & left them in charge. I’ll go where I want.

I think the English nobles were just as bad, hence the flipping back and forth of power in Westminster. Among the many dark periods of English history, the dissolution of the monasteries always seemed to be among the worst crimes against humanity the country has experienced on home soil. I appreciate that the church was a power centre but the ruthless pulling down of scores, perhaps hundreds of ancient buildings was cultural vandalism on a grand scale.

A great place to see the Roman road that led into Stirling is at Torwood Castle, it also passes the amazing Tappoch Broch, the Iron age castle of the day. Three gems for the price of one. (yi cannae say am no scottish noo)

Love the passion and storytelling which brings our history to life in the 21st century. We are part of a long story. A story that the people along the way have played their part in weaving. A good reminder in these times.

My Great grandfather a Stoke on Trent man served in the Black Watch and stationed in Sterling back in 1880’s, though never settled there….Drove past the castle sometime back, so impressive!
