Answering a question honestly or professionally shouldn't garner respect, that's the absolute minimum requirement. The answer to the question is what should be evaluated. In this case, his answer was "I'm alright jack!"

At least he’s very aware of how much money that was. Still crazy knowing the Friends cast was pulling in 1 Million per episode by the end though, and it was an older show so the money was even greater considering inflation

Alyson Hannigan and NPH were the big players when the series started, so I guess they made more from the start. Both were acting since childhood, had a well known reputation and especially Alyson came just out of Buffy which was one of the most successful shows at the time. Cobie did primarily modeling and she and Jason became household names through HIMYM. It's fine that in the end they all got paid the same, because they all upped their game so much more through the course of the show.

Disagree. The entire cast was outstanding. He played his part to perfection but Josh Radnor was unquestionably the star of the show as the main character, and the end was a testament to his character. That said, they all played their part to a tee. One of the best sitcoms ever for sure.

Barney is an Iconic level character.. for me on par with any Friends character in terms of fame and popularity. But way more funny... bigger than that youd have to be on Seinfeld ..

Given what NPH had to do for the portrayal of Barney, it would be well-deserved if he got payed more than the rest. His role was by far the most demanding physically, emotionally nad artistically. He had to incorporate body comedy, magic, music acrobatics. Any other character could be played by many actors, whereas to deliver Barney Stinson you really need to be extremely versatile.

He was definitely a bigger name, but both of them got special treatment and contracts from the beginning. Just look at how their names appear at the end of the billing, "with" and "and" being more desirable positions (after top billing, which goes to Josh, since the story is told from his character's pov).
