Was blown away that Neil opened the summer show last year with this, it was my first ever Neil Young show. Have listened to the Mirrorball version on repeat for years, now I will listen to this version as well for many years to come. Deep warmth. An important song.

I'm sixty nine! I see again the country roads slaloming in the middle of green meadows, small houses along the way. Sitting on a chair, an old man rests his head on the top of his hands which wrap the pommel of his cane. Does he dream of his past? Listen and feel the wind pushing you, the smells enveloping you and your friends loving you. Like a child who refuses to go down the slide, my feet and my hands are not enough to hold me back. The slope is too steep and I will end up hitting the ground. The little houses have become towers, the river no longer has fish, the meadows no longer have flowers or insects. The old man and his memories are gone. Night falls on the path, the wind becomes cold and the smells aggressive. Do my friends still love me?

All I can ask Is that God gives Neil good health and the desire for years to come to keep giving us his soul. We need him.

Just an Old Man saying we’ll see you at Fiddlers Greene. i had managed to save up $700 this year for no specific reason. Then the announcement “The Horse at Fiddlers Greene”. I spent my meager roll on two tickets in The Pit for my son and I Last show we did was front row to Greendale at Red Rock. Now at this time in life it’s going to be a blast while I finish passing the flame to my son. Who truly appreciates the power of The Horse
