100%. Tenten is way cooler with these normal kind of weapons. Not the oversized weird ones in shippuden/games. She’s a weapon mistress, and this intro shows her mastery
@@fricks4486the game is actually not that interesting by global standard. It's like normal 2D fighting game like mortal kombat, teeken, street fighter. In the current era of 3D fighting games like in GTA and stuff
Ten Ten had such a cool gimmick, she's a weapon master, no one else has that gimmick in the series, she could be a kunoichi who masters all weapon, instead... She becomes a weapon merchant... 🙃
Honestly when she picked up those So6p tools I thought her being a weapons master made it so the tools didn’t take chakra. What a waste. So her being an expert has no meaning. She’s a ninja who knows how to throw kunai smh
@@dirceusantos7308 I don't remember witch Ninja Storm it was, but the one I had on Wii: Tenten was *oppressive.* Multiple weapons meant multiple playstyles and if it wasn't suiting her she could chuck it at your face and grab another on they fly, no cost. She was terrifying.
I love that Neji's is Wing Chun, Rock Lee's is Jeet Kune Do, and Ten Ten's is the the style that was used in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. Seeing how Rock Lee was based off Bruce Lee his makes a lot of sense. Technically they all do. I just really liked all of them.
True. With her op talent of knowing how to use every weapon she gets a hold of she could've been used more. Like the only problem with her is that there are only a few op weapons in the whole naruto series (which isn't her fault) and that she has less chakra needed for her fighting style to fully bloom, since using op weapons in naruto usually need a good amount of chakra (like when she used the so6p tool. She could use it, but with how much chakra it needed for every move she couldn't use it for long).
My first impression of Team Gai way back 2006 were chinese kung fu students. Lee is obviously influenced by Bruce Lee. Neji seems to be using tai chi and chi blocking techniques and Ten Ten as weapons master. But all of these potentials were wasted by Kishi in the manga and anime… sorry to say…
@@Ozdeghost correct. that was the whole reason for the set up in the beginning of the chunnin arc. all that background info and bigging up the hyuga and the lore set up and nejis whole theme of being caged and having a seal like Naruto only for zero fuking payoff simply because the editor wanted him to make sasuke the rival due to him liking the design better and the popularity vote. the series would have been far better and would have made much more sense if it revolved around the hyuga more. wasted potential
I know i'm stating the obvious, but these three are the true definition of hard work. Team seven may claim that they work hard, but at the end of the day, they're all talented individuals, Sakura was probably the only one who worked hard to get her monster strength. Sasuke and Naruto mainly relied on overpowered Jutsu and power-ups.
I agree. While Neji does have natural advantages, Rock Lee works extremely hard and got to where he is by sheer effort and tenacity, and although we don't see much of her I'm sure it is the same with Ten Ten. I like that it showed her a mistress of weapons.
LMAO. "Sakura was probably the only one who worked hard to get her monster strength" is such a biased and untrue claim. Those "overpowered" jutsus needed training that I don't think Sakura's ever gone through in her life. The Ninetales chakra control in part 1 was a do or die for Naruto during training. Wherever he needed to accomplish anything big, he'd have to go through an entire training, but we're just gonna look that over because of somebody who's watched the series through reels. Sasuke's chidori, kirin chakra nature changes and optimal use of the sharingan wasn't just overpowered jutsus and power up, they needed training while Sakura was out there healing fishes.
@@Hiro7445- i find it funny that you got so butthurt by that dudes comment just because he praised sakura, dont forget Naruto and Sasuke were reincarnations of fucking demigods, he meant it in a way that sakura was the only one in the team who didnt have a literal superpower, he was not downplaying on Naruto and Sasuke , and if sakura got so powerful just by healing fishes then i want to do that too lmao {mf really ignored her chakra storing that she did for 3 years to unlock her byakugou lmaoo'}
@@youtubejerify715 Likewise, I could say you're butthurt because of me saying she hasn't worked as hard. I find it hilarious how you missed the irony typing out that response all because you don't hold yourself to the same standards. No, he just outright dismissed the two because they had superpowers which is in fact downplaying, if you're not in denial about it. Again, it's not about results or how "powerful" one gets or where it gets them, the entire context revolves hardwork, but seeing how I had to point it out for you, I don't think you're worth arguing with any further following this rebuttal
@@Hiro7445- "Sakura was out there healing fishes" was what you said , you yourself dismissed her as you responded to that guy, but ok, whatever keeps you at peace
I don't think that is the case with Rock Lee. He's always going full out with his training. For him, going full out is just his normal workout routine.
@@cupidok2768 Team Gai (the group in the video) is based on Chinese martial arts. Hence why there's a Bruce Lee inspiration, baghua-taichi fighting style, and many of the Ten-Ten's weapons are Chinese based. Lee and Ten-Ten are also archetypal Chinese names.
I think the reason that Ten Ten didn't get much attention in the series is because there are so many characters. The DC Comic "Legion of Super-Heroes" had the same problem. The Legion at it largest had 25 members, and due to that many characters were given the short shrift. An example of this is Dream Girl, it was over 40 issues before I finally got to see her in an issue...a small part in a backup story. Eventually the issue was reduced by the writer (Paul Levitz) having several subplots going on at the same time, and also having characters who hangout together within the Legion (Shrinking Violet and Lightning Lass, Phantom Girl and Shadow Lass, Blok and Timber Wolf). Consider "Naturo": I'm going to guess that there are over 30 regular characters (I haven't read/seen the whole series yet but I'm slowly getting there), plus many supporting characters, not to mention the opponents. Due to that it is likely that some characters were left to fade into the background, and that is what likely happened to Ten Ten. Related is the fate of Chuck Cunningham (Richie's older brother) on "Happy Days", who disappeared and was completely forgotten to the point that his father later only mentions his one son and daughter. Another character like this is Bobby Martin on the soap opera "All My Children" who went into the attic to get some skis...and was never seen again.
They should had made a Team Gai stand-alone mini series and it would had been epic , hell half the series about Team Gai and half of The Legendary Sannin.
I bet Kishimoto wanted to do a lot of things with all his characters, especially with team gai. But working on a weekly magazine means you have to sacrifice and compromise a lot of what you want to tell and only draw what you need to tell in order to make it till next week... I guess now that the main Naruto series is over they can license and make something cool out of all the other characters!
Rock Lee is based on Bruce Lee, so I think they did it to honor his inspiration. Another character who is based on Bruce Lee is Hitmonlee from "Pokemon" (Hitmonchan is based on Jackie Chan).
@narutofan4545 no, be informed. It was a collab between Naruto Mobile and "Bruce Lee". I understand you're new on the world, but don't act like you know everything when you're clearly new on it.
Image of the neji scene was Neji vs his father during the war. If we got that I would have been okay with his eventual death. Would have felt like a complete character arc.
I'm surprised Neji didn't use Bagua instead of Wing chun. Bagua is what the 8 trigrams palm techniques in the show is based off of I think. I guess Wing Chun is more popular.
