So, the story behind the goblin is pretty great. Band formed with the goal of writing an album all about goblins, and saw little success outside playing local bar shows. A music video producer ended up seeing them at a bar, and loved their music. He then begged the band to make a music video, because he had an amazing vision of this goblin going through his every day life. After a few weeks of badgering by the producer, the band decided to make the video. No One Survives had the video made, and an actor hired to play the goblin in the video. The video blew up and went viral, and offers for tour dates started rolling in, the caveat being that the goblin had to come as well, and so John Goblikon was added to the band. First song they wrote after he joined, "We need a Gimmick."
They are a fun band. You guys might like some of their previous music videos and songs a little more than this one, especially the ones that tell more of a story. The first big music video is "No One Survives". The second video for "We Need a Gimmick" picks up from the end of No one survives. The "Dressed as Goblins" music video is another music video that tells a story and is a lot of fun. Any plans to react to the Archspire - Drone Corpse Aviator music video?
We'll have to check them out. Not really in the plans, since we've already seen that one, but it is one of the most fun/cool videos we've seen in a hot minute.
Love your guys vibe, keep it up. You need to check out no one survives and dressed as goblins. The goblin is John Goblikon and he has a RU-vid show called “right now!” Gotta react!
my favorite one by them is probly called the skin thief. check it out in your free time somtime you might like it. the first riff if the skin thief is rediculous lol took me like a month to get it down lol
My favorite part of this reaction was you guys talking over the music the entire song. Every time you say something, you’re missing something. Pause that shit if you’ve got thoughts to share. Hardly a reaction channel when you’re not even taking the whole experience in. Just my 2 cents.
