Watched Colbert last night. Wow! I was totally blown away. Every so often something new and old comes together and blends perfectly. There is hope for this new generation. Great for the Flaming Lips to see and nurture this huge talent. Running out to my local record shop to order the LP.

So good! The Flaming Lips have been relevant in every decade since the 80s. Nick Cave is a legend and tough to cover. Kudos Nell and TFL!

I've been a fan of Cave and the Bad Seed for twenty-five years. I've heard a lot of covers of their stuff. This is positively a revelation. I heard Nick is a fan of Nell. Well he should be.

I was driving to an after hours booze gas station in peterborough ontario...the sticks...who cares...right!...i heard it on cbc radio and sang the words and my girl says how do i know the words...i couldnt figure it out as i sang it...shes 10 years younger...ive always had to explain shit...then it hit me...i told her that if i ever met someone that i truly give my life for...this would be the song....ive had 3 serious girlfriends and one who bared 2 beautiful smart n healthy kids...but ive never shared this personal song...just like the Weeping Song my best friend Oz played at bars in tdot...yeah...ghetto talk...dont care...then it hit me as i sang it in my voice...lol...Nick Cave....its a sweet version...i give it nod.👍🏻 Ps...had to reread what i typed without auto spell...yrah...im that guy...i know i put an r in yeah...this is a sweet song to listen to on a motorcycle at 250 km an hour...yeah...im an idiot...but its my choice...live as you please...love yas all!

The Ship Song is one of my all-time favourites - first heard it in the 80s when Johnette Napolitano of Concrete Blonde (another totally underrated group that didn't get all the love they deserved) added it as encore to one of their shows (a capella!). I learned it was originally Nick Cave's .. and that opened up a whole other rabbit hole LOL The CBC's Nightstream program played this version yesterday & I had to research who did such an amazing cover .. and here I am .. now listening to everything Nell Smith is doing with The Flaming Lips! Beautiful music! So talented and I feel so blessed to be receiving these sounds! Hoping for many more to come!

A young man with a lovely tenor voice sang this at our wedding. He was a former student of my wife's - and I had played guitar and sang this to her when we first started dating, being a huge Nick Cave fanboy for many years. Love this version.

I have only just heard about this album after BBC radio 6 played this song. I was instantly mesmerised. I think this album is definitely one for all music lovers. I just learnt how old you are Nell, I assumed you were an adult! Well done for what you did on the album.

Paredes de Coura festival-Portugal,1999(i'm not 100% sure;i think it was 1999,but it also could be 2000).Anyways,i went to the festival to see the Mike Patton's Mr Bungle concert but was pleasently surprised by the Flaming Lips show before Mr Bungle.It was a show i never forgot because it was incredible!Since then i have much respect for this band work but unfortunaly i must say,also as a Nick Cave long time fan,i was expecting a little bit more from this cover record.But it's just an opinion.I wish you all the best.Love from Portugal❤
