Born in a orthodox Hindu Brahmin family in Kanchipuram, Tamilnadu, India, Abdul Rahman Sahib displayed a keen intellect and passion for learning 'Advaita - oneness' from a young age. He devoted himself to the study of Islamic theology and Sufism, eventually becoming a respected teacher and spiritual guide after he reaches nellikuppam, a town located near Cuddalore,Tamilnadu.
Throughout his life, Abdul Rahman Sahib wrote numerous books on Sufi Islamic teachings, which have been widely read and highly regarded by scholars and seekers of spiritual wisdom alike. Renowned Publisher M.A. Shahul Hameed , was his close friend and published many of his works.
During his lifetime he established a 'Madrasa' named Manbaul Hasanath Vedic School (மன்பவுல் ஹஸனாத் வேத பாடசாலை) - to teach Islamic Subjects and he himself took care of it. After his demise his holy body is buried in the backside of the Madrasa which is located in Nellikuppam, Tamil Nadu. Google map link
