Nemeth Designs Partenavia P-68 - First Look Review - MSFS 

I was very excited when I first saw a P68 on the upcoming list, but now I’m quite disappointed. I had the pleasure of chartering one of these for myself on a trip to Greenland in October last year, when Air Greenland cancelled my booked flight, so we chartered one that was being used as a sightseeing aircraft. Flying above the Greenland glacier at about 2,000ft from Ilulissat to Kangerlussuaq was absolutely amazing, probably my best, if not most expensive flight ever!

The P68 is a very popular survey aircraft in the UK, I know of two companies, APEM Aviation and Ravenair, which use them regularly to carry out a variety of ariel survey tasks along with offshore windfarm ariel checks.

The engines are so close to the fuselage that it looks like it's going to chop itself in half as soon as your start it.

Good review. I also watched another review of this aircraft where he says, the problem with it is it's v1.0. That's what i conclude, i believe this aircraft is one update away from goodness. Seems to be mostly minor stuff other then some flight modelling, and of course the parking brake. As far as the acceleration, that's a really small plane to be packing twin 200 hp, that's 400 hp combined. So I'd think it'd be somewhat powerful, however, judging from this video and the other, it still maybe too much. Me, not having the plane, i can only go by what you all are showing. For $20, if it hits one update that fixes most of the things mentioned, I'd buy it for sure and it would be on my channel.

I don’t know how this product went live in this state. I’ve seen other reviews that show all kind of bugs in addition to the stuff seen here. Hopefully the developer pushes an update to address this stuff.

That's an odd bird for sure. I like how they look but I guess I'll wait and see if they update it.

Jeez !! You would like too think / assume , that a developer would at least test fly their aircraft before release !! Very disappointing , as this is an interesting looking aircraft . ( P.s Thanks for "taking the hit " on this release. Not for the first time you've saved us simmers some hard earned currency . Much appreciated 👍 ) .

As someone who flies P68B IRL, this is a completely inaccurate and not something I'd even consider as a freeware. 1) The soundpack seems to have been taken from C172, the logic being same engines but they don't sound anywhere close. The best description I'd have is, it sounds closer to an ATR on steroids on takeoff. 2) Once the plane is in motion, it does taxi on idle throttle and fine pitch however it would never do something like 20 or 30. And as you showed with coarse pitch, it shouldn't taxi at all! The RPM didn't even drop, which makes me think if the pitch levers are simulated. 3) Performance: at this point it was such a pain to watch. 2500RPM and 25' MAP would give a normal climb around 100kts and VSI would be about the 1000fpm to 1500fpm on takeoff. It does not accelerate that fast on climb. Cruise, IAS would be sitting around 120 kts to 130 kts. This one seem to be keen on giving concorde a run for its money. P68 is quite a stable aircraft and isn't much sensitive to control inputs. 4) Developer seem to have missed the infamous banana yoke. IRL in max up deflection, the yoke moves up literally. It will come back to an extent when you pull it and once it gets close to your torso, to add more input you will need to pull it up and it gets close to your face. 5) Tons of bugs. Certainly the amount of effort the dev has put in it shows in terms of the product- an eyecandy with zero functionality.

Verdict: plenty of power, with the flight dynamics of a 50lb sack of potatoes.

Very cute and quirky, but not as fast of a cruiser as I generally expect a twin prop to be (in fact it's slower than quite a few singles such as the Bonanza, Mooney, or Cirrus), nor does it seem to have the STOL capabilities of the Islander. I'd love to be proven wrong about the STOL in a future update though, because it's certainly cuter than the Islander. Also regarding the Aerolite 103, that is what we Americans call an ultralight, and the more enclosed planes that Europeans call an ultralight, we call a light sports aircraft. Funny how that is. I really like the Aerolite but had to wait a while for it to go on sale for what I felt a Nemeth product was worth.

Seems like it needs some patching before it’s good to purchase.

For taxi, try using one engine?

Need better work on this, especially on the systems configuration side. Also, doing opening doors in Blender these days is trivial.

Another aircraft put out that has not been finished. She looks nice, but then the sound and flight dynamics are not. So disappointed as I really wanted this one, but unless it's problems are fixed it is not worth a penny. And that weird gauge glass that makes them hard to see?

Der Flugzeugtyp an sich ist interessant, aber die Flugeigenschaften und vor allem die Motoren scheinen wenig überzeugend umgesetzt zu sein. In dem jetzigen Zustand ist sie wohl eher nichts für mich. Nach einem umfassenden Update könnte sich das ändern. Das Original hätte ein besseres Modell verdient.

No wind being produced

Too expensive, poor flight model and not enough features that are considered ‘standard’ these days. May be worth a look after an update or two, but seriously needs to be cheaper for the lack of features

I think that with the abundance of quality aircraft now for MSFS, this one isn't up to the expected quality. Extremely weak sounds, weird flight model, not a particularly big fan of the modeling either.

After the horrible job Nemeth did with the Bell 407, I don't have high hopes. Then again, their products aren't very good at all, from what I've seen and heard.

This broom looks unfinished, i shall pass for now.

Bought this after version 1.01 came out. Didn't fix the lack of propeller pitch adjustment, and the flying characteristics still seem somewhat unrealistic (glided about 7 miles from 2000 feet after the plane went 'dead' electrically while adjusting the throttle). Sent a complaint to Nemeth, but just got snarky responses. THis is a $10 plane at best. Buyer beware.

This one was very interesting... I finally invested in some rutter pedals, looking forward to getting it all set up.

Good review as always and yes i think it's an unfinished product . Lots of things not quite right or completely not right , they should have worked on this more before release . I think with updates it may become a good addon but as it stands i would say it's a no right now .

There was an update that supposedly fixed a few things. Could you take a look?

I am having fun flying this aircraft; I like the autopilot and because I like VOR navegation it does the work; flying dynamics as good as most aircraft out there. It should not disapoint you , if you get it.

It seems to be a modern small utility aircraft. Much like the Islander, which has developed so well through Blackbox Simulation. There seem to be a few items missing in this one. Let's hope it all comes together. Thank you for the video :)
