I recently attended a LOVEBITES concert. I love them too. However, I adore the “slightly rebellious” sound and vibe of NEMOPHILA even more. There’s a neighborhood in Tokyo called Shimokitazawa in Setagaya Ward. From the 1980s to the mid-1990s, it was also famous as a “rock band town.” Especially in the '80s, I have some stories. Heavy metal bands and punk bands (most metal bands and most punk bands were at odds back then) would run into each other on the streets, and brawls would break out between the band members. As a high school student who was there, I loved both genres, so I have memories of being a bystander. In other words, it was a “lively and great town.” And NEMOPHILA has a bit of that vibe from back then. That’s one of the reasons I love them so much, lol.
This phenomenal band has seized all my attention! I love the fact that these are world class musicians that have been gracious enough to record this for our pleasure!
