Nemophila was an instant hit on my first listen a few years ago. All of their music is stellar, but like a fine wine they only get better with time. An incredibly diverse band, but with a propensity for Metal-core.
Same with me. 😊 Love for music does not depend on our age. 😊 *Never ever* let the music, which is in your soul, be taken away from you. Never ever. 😊 Headbang, or shed tears, it does not matter. Let it _move_ you, let it _resonate_ . 😊
Great reaction! Glad you’re enjoying them so much. This is by far their heaviest song, and one of my absolute favorites! I highly recommend you check out these other songs by these rockin ladies: Adabana Dissension Oiran (I recommend the most recent live version) Hozuki (one of my personal favorites, and not often reacted to) I also recommend, if you haven’t checked them out already, reacting to Electric Callboy. To start, I’d suggest Hypa Hypa, We Got The Moves, or Pump It.
Hi there! Instant subscription to your channel! Nice reaction. Nemophila is one of the best bands in this universe since the Big Bang (at least in my book). I would recommend their songs "Oiran", "Dissension", "Adabana", "Hypnosis", "Life", "Odyssey", "Night Flight", and "Monsters" just to name a few, which show their versatility. I also would like suggest to take a look at their covers, like "Whole Lotta Rosie" (AC-DC), "Master of Puppets" (Metallica), "Walk" (Pantera), "Walk" (Foo Fighters), "The Trooper" (Iron Maiden), "21st Century Boy" (T-Rex), "Detroit Rock City" (KISS). Actually, I personally believe that every single one of their songs and covers is great and an absolue blast. Others have already mentioned that, but the Japanase female Metal music scene these days has a _lot_ of great bands to offer, like Nemophila, Lovebites, Hanabie, Fate Gear, Band-Maid, Gacharic Spin, LiSa-X Band, Broken By The Scream, Asterism (though the last one only has a female guitarist, the other two members are male). Keep on rockin'!
Uber talented band on par with the talent level of Lovebites. I've seen them live twice in Southern California and they are fire. They are very charismatic and engaged witheir crowds. You can tell they love what they do. Very versatile in what they can play. Mayu has steadily become an in credible frontwomen.
Nice. Was excited to see you react to this one :) Vocals are sooo on point and lots of energy and fun in the performance. Lots more good Nemophila to go. To continue the female Japanese harsh vocals journey.... Hanabie - We Love Sweets or Be the Gal or L.C.G, all are MVs Fate Gear - Fight Against Justice MV Broken by the Scream - Sayonara Birthday MV Passcode - Taking you Out live (Tour 2018 Final at Zepp Divercity Tokyo) Gacharic Spin - I Wish I MV KOSAME - CORD MV And of course more Lovebites is always good!
I guess the most famous bands with female growling vocals are Arch Enemy, Jinjer and Spirit Box. There are also two quite known Brazilian all female bands called Crypta and Nervosa. And also Hanabie from Japan (they play almost every huge festival in Europe this year) …
A masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece. 🤷♂ Give these incredibly ladies _anything_ , and they will turn it into gold. 🤷♂ I am no fan of growling at all, but Máyu (singer) is *THE* exception to the rule to me, "she has my permission" to growl (as to say), anytime she likes, she simply does it "differently", in my perception. 🙂 I also appreciate the ironic "vibe" of this song, for its _lyrics_ actually _are_ the basis for "zen" (禅), but the _music_ certainly is _not_ 😅, for you need a peaceful and quiet setting to meditate on the questions raised in the lyrics. 😄 Anyway, *Haraguchi-san* (bass) wrote this song, I am absolutely _in love_ with her stage persona, and "I owe her" for this song. 😊
Nice!! Ok if you watch their other song named Odyssey now, you will see the contrast, and will be shocked again at knowing these ladies can play any genre they want! 😆👍🏻
By the way, the final "Hey!" and the "Hey!" 's shouted into the song every now and then, can be understood as "Hey!" to shout out an appeal, but they also sound like the Japanese word for "Yes!" ( はい ) and can be understood as replies to all the meditative "zen" questions raised in the lyrics. ("Do you have a happy family life?" - "Yes!") Therefore: "Do I now appreciate this song even more?" - "Hay!" 🙂
