NeNe Leakes says she wanted to drop the hammer on the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" years ago ... but the execs blacklisted her, making it extremely difficult to take any legal action.
We got NeNe at LAX Monday, and she says getting constantly silenced by Bravo stopped her from filing her discrimination lawsuit for a long time.
She tells us she went from working constantly to getting nothing ... fans of the show know NeNe was the centerpiece of "RHOA" for years, before leaving in 2020.

Nene is completely delusional. I am very close to people who’ve work with her , she’s AWFUL. Her ego is inflated. She treats her fans terribly, and she talks down to staff at events. She destroyed her own career with her ego and didn’t deserve the success and adoration she got. Let this be a cautionary tale to us all. STAY HUMBLE

Nene is so stupid, she's undermining her own lawsuit. From her complaint, page 50, paragraph 108: "She was also in development talks to do other shows, such as her own show. NBC, Bravo, and True had previously expressed support for these ideas. But now, they began to reject and turn a cold shoulder to the idea of additional shows or endeavors for Mrs. Leakes. At the same time, however, they did negotiate and close a deal with another RHOA: Kandi Burruss secured a deal for her own spin-off, Kandi & the Gang. Mrs. Burruss had not been vocal in calling out the racially-inappropriate behavior over the years to the degree that Mrs. Leakes had been."

Nene’s star has faded. She has become problematic and toxic. I think she became famous but didn’t take care of her brand outside of the show which is filled with negativity and is actually not tied to anything respectful or resembling of talent. That time were her name was hot has passed. During this time we never seen her exhibit anything special or show off some special growth. To put it mildly people are going to get tired of seeing old women arguing and screaming at each other it’s really low class and bothersome. So take that away, and you have nothing for her to do outside the franchise. Nene is a grandma, she should go do that well and leave this entertainment thing as a memory. Let’s hope she got enough attention and applause. Because it’s over ! If you don’t have any raw talent.

She fell into that trap I’m sure many have when they have a huge influx of cash, and a hint of power, you think that it’s going to last forever…She had it really good a few years ago, the reality show, a network sitcom, and talk of her own talk show..That ego of hers got in the way…and it’s no secret that her jealousy of Kandi is because she’s a real businesswoman, and she’s not…if Nene was smart, she would nurtured her career years ago instead of allowing her demands to make her lose everything..and I’m sure business managers advised her to build on that, and she failed to do so…that train has passed, and that lawsuit is a money grab, and will probably be thrown out of court…

That cash flow was quite heavy about 10 years ago..at her peak, she had the Bravo income, a sitcom, and was making multiple appearances all over television...it was around that time she brought that huge house.. With no high profile gigs at the moment, her income is almost nonexistent...While her lawsuit maybe legitimate it definitely seems like a money grab....I read she has since sold her home...

It’ll be really hard to claim discrimination bc they didn’t fire her from the show for the same things she’s claiming. She would only win if she can prove they kept Kim on the show and then fired her but from what I understand is she was given a pay raise. They also gave Kim and Kandy a show which is separate from the job she was given. They didn’t promise her own show. Plus this was the time she acted too good for the show. All she talked about was what she had.

Bravo doesn't have that much power to blacklist her from getting work. If a studio/network want you for your talent NO ONE can derail that. Casting directors can see you for you. The acting work dried up long before she got cut from Rhoa. If she was blacklisted she would have never got the fashion police gig. If she was blacklisted no media outlet would touch her and that's not the case with Nene. Nene will get tv work but probably not the work she really wants.

I am starting to see that if a black woman stands up against being blacklisted or unfair treatment they are being ridiculed or not taken seriously. People always say they should’ve been happy with whatever they were offered or put up and shut up. This reminds me of the Monique situation where she was offered a paltry sum by Netflix and people were mocking her and agreeing with the network. Why should black woman be happy and accept the crumbs they are offered. She got blacklisted bc her head go too big. Go from season 1 and then to the new seasons. She went from someone ppl can relate to, then to “I got Trump checks.” She started to name her designers & acted like she was gonna be A list and started shitting on the show. She got broadway and her own show but when it failed, she came right back.
