i watched 20 seconds, and i can already tell the production quality on this video is amazing. I already bought too many boards, and never tried an Ergo, but damn this thing has some potential.
much appreciated 🌞 I've tried Alice layouts before, but never a tented one. The tented layout really helps bring the ergonomics to another level. A bit more similar to how holding a ball in your hands would feel!
@@TAZAKEY My roommate has sworn by his ergo alice membrane keyboard. I have urged him to move away from it, but he insists on the feel of it. Maybe the Neo Ergo can save him from his membrane ways xD
Thank you for watching! Getting these keycaps was a last minute decision for this video (I needed a set that supported ergo layout), but I'm so glad that I did!
The retro white is really nice, almost like a light cement color. Can't go wrong with black either though 🌞 Really just depends what keycaps you're planning to match with the board
It may be poor switch choice on my part, but these Cherry switches should be a good baseline. Will try to film some additional tests with other switches - I think sound can be improved with different switches! Thank you for the comment 🌞
It's been just about a week since I received mine in the mail! So more content to come for sure - you can always keep track of the content schedule on their official Notion page!
I really enjoy this! May I ask some questions? For the Alice layout is it sufficient to buy the base kit keycaps? Does the retro white has a grey undertone? (Looks like that on my screen) Thank you!
Hello! For this keycap set specifically, it's enough to just buy the base kit. If you're looking at other keycap sets, just make sure that the base kit includes split spacebars! The retro white certainly has a greyish undertone but it leans more towards white still than grey. Thank you for watching 🌞
bruh!! nice video .... btw different configurations for the chaos theory? any photoshoot? would have to see multi-colour caps on the split SB/arrow :-))
maybe somethirng for the future 🤔 don't have the mod kit for chaos theory, but you're right, that would like really nice with this layout! thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment 🌞
I’ll definitely get one, although all sound tests Ive heard yet are okay at best. I generally prefer clacky keyboards, just this one doesn’t sound lovely to my ears. To be completely fair, my other keyboards are more on the high end spectrum, but honestly not sure If I should go with silent switches just to eliminate the sound aspect. Geon may have spoiled me too much
It's used as a support for the plate when you are working without standoffs to screw the plate to the PCB - essentially to ensure that the plate is being seated properly to the switches (this is especially an issue with more flexible plates. Thank you for watching 🌞
It will be available for sale later in May/early June. I'll be adding the product link when it becomes available, but also check the Qwertykeys website!
