I was a Neo-Nazi when I was 16 until I was 20. It was a sense of belonging, and I have a troubled past. I spouted hatred, attacked people and believed in the far right movement. Even protested when Ernst Zundel was going to prison. And I planned on getting a Creativity tatoo on my heart. But then I grew up and learned to live with people again. It's typical of gangs. There is a sense of community that you don't usually get. And what is funny is that in recent years I've been in the process of converting to the very thing I hated. Very few stay in these groups. People come to their senses in the end.

I don't find any of this surprising at all. People hate what they see in themselves that they find uncomfortable or scary. A guy I grew up with and was good friends with got heavy into the alt-right stuff, and he got drunk at admitted to me and another friend that he 'sometimes' watched gay porn and hated himself for it, and that it was a sin, and that it wasn't something that he should accept. And he said that he hated black people and jews' even though he 'knew it didn't make any sense.' He said he had a lot of Jewish heritage on one side of the family. I feel bad for people that can't live their truth, or be their authentic selves. Well, I’m gay, and live in Norway, i met one of the leaders of the nazi movement(its very small, not even 50 people, bigger in Sweden,but that’s no surprise really,they where never invaded by the nazis and wanted to be neutral) here for 2 years ago on a gay dating app(he told me lies about his name, and where he lived). I met him 4-5 times, I really liked him, we talked, had sex, he was just very in the closet, and i had to promise to never talk about it, that is not uncommon on gay dating apps anyway, many married men there and people way in the closet. I'm a gay brit, 37, and while lately I've been against the idea of mass immigration, seeing what it does to countries in europe, and against the far left ideologies like antifa and other ridiculous notions of celebrities telling you to give up your homes for immigrants (even when they themselves have the space in their multiple homes to give refuge to them but never do like one certain harry potter writer), I still believe in left ideals despite it.
