Thank you Jeff - I've played piano (at a mediocre level) for years, and wanted to know the 'secrets' to these voicings since I was listening to hip-hop back in the mid 90s. Omitting the 5th of the Db and Eb major 9th chords worked really well here!

The 5th is often left out in jazz and jazz influenced music so all the extended tones are accentuated.
