NEO: The World Ends with You - Neku Returns (Legendary Player) 

Well It was cool to see him return at the nick of time. Beat would have ate it if not for him. But someone already spoiled his return last week when i just started the game lmao. Still he's on our team now! Has the most style rating as well. Time to go shopping next lol. Note - I'm obligated to mention that the video has spoilers. Thanks to Square Enix for the PS4 version of the game.

As amazing as Neku’s entrance was (and it really was amazing, let me tell you), can we also appreciate Beat stepping up to hold the line and push back Sho while the others escape? He’s well aware that he might not make it but he’s willing to make the sacrifice if it means the others can go on to save Shibuya. I fucking love Beat, man.

That line at 3:03 hits hard when you realize Beat saw Neku got shot and 'disappeared'...

Can we just appreciate the fact that Neku is wearing Shiki's brand?

This whole scene, I was screaming because I thought they were gonna kill Beat. The screaming continued when I saw Neku.

You know what I love about this? As soon as you see Neku and the dialogue begins - Twister. OG Twister, not the one for Neo, not the one for KH3D. OG Twister plays as the backdrop - Just all the nostalgia and perfect representation of the badassery that was Week 3 Final Day Neku Sakuraba. XD

Man, Jesse David Corti voiced Neku all the way back in 2007, you can really tell how much time has passed just by hearing his voice now, it’s crazy. I’m glad he came back to voice Neku along with all the other original voice actors.

I’ll admit, when this moment happened in-game I was basically fangirling due to sheer happiness. Then when another certain character from TWEWY shows up (let’s just say they’re the Sephiroth to Neku’s Cloud), I audibly shouted from pure hype.

Adult Neku: Time to go to work. *Phone rings* "A new reaper's game has begun" Adult Neku: Ah, shit, here we go again.

Wouldn't be surprised if Neku's sprite took the most drafts and redos out of the cast. More relaxed on the body language, open clothes and open hands still speaks quietly but with driven purpose unlike last game.

I don't know how to explain this but it feels kind of fitting that Beat and Neku are the returning players to the new game.

This game had one of the best voice acted dialogue that felt realistic in many ways I loved every interaction this story took us through this game was more than good and I'm so happy it's more lively than ever

I love how once we meet him for the 1st time the OG Twister from the 1st TWEWY plays

I think this game did a great job as a sequel and is an amazing introduction to new people.

It was really nice of Minamimoto to wait while they argue on whether Beat should stay behind.

We all gotta praise Beat he a real bro and tough holding him back that's real courage man Beat Representing here ✌

Luckily I avoided spoilers for this game, so seeing Neku come back after so long, and finally getting answers for the New Day chapter, was so satisfying. This game knows how to deliver a pay-off.

The Legendary Neku has returned!

Fun story: the first background song, Psychedelic, has been my alarm tone since 2010, so hearing it immediately sets off my fight or flight response lol

NEO had so many great moments that really made it a fantastic sequel. Honestly worth the wait. I was screaming with joy the second I saw the flash of light. I knew who had showed up to kick ass and save the day. Neku truly is a legend.

God i love that's neku's back but i have to wonder why does his outfit remind me a lot of Joshua 🤔 maybe I'm just overthinking this but it really does looks like something josh would wear

duuuude, i almost yelled out loud when Neku returned. i thought he wouldn't because Beat was added to the party earlier in the game posing as him, but i was beyond excited when our boy finally showed up :D

The funny thing is that I was relatively spoiler free, played the game up to this point and decided to listen to some music as I grinded some money, then youtube decides to throw this vid in my face totally spoiling the day I was on anyway. Thanks recs, can't wait for you to spoil me again for Tales of Arise because I am sure you will.

This entire game i was like “where’s joshua” and even more so when neku appeared. Like i was convinced that man wasn’t in this reality because he went to the tin pin slammer reality because he couldn’t let go that neku beat him in that game. I swear man guy is salty

I just wish they had brought him back earlier in the game (maybe like at the beginning of week 3). I actually spoiled his return for myself since I looked up “playable character list”

I just got here I loved every minute of this scene.

As cool as that scene was. The game is still fresh enough that the title counts as a spoiler for new players or the ones that dont have enough time to play to get to this point yet. especially when your video just pops up in recommodation.

You know, the second the FMV started you knew this was coming. I did, anyway. That said, and this might get me hated on, but I actually wish Neku had stayed as a NPC. Having him in the group feels.. wrong. Like he’s supposed to be a legendary player, he IS one, but when I got him everyone else had higher stats them him. Sure I grinded a fair amount, but at this point in the story Neku should have been godlike. Getting him and not having him just one-shot everything in actual combat is disappointing. Getting Beat was acceptable and a great throwback on its own, and a nice consolation prize after thinking he was going to be Neku (their hair is WAY different, I can’t believe I didn’t see that coming) Most importantly though NEO Twewy isn’t Neku’s story. It’s Rindo, Fret, Shoka, and Nagi’s. I was really wanting/hoping 6th slot would be Kanon.

I avoided spoilers and didn't watch the final trailer so I was shocked but happy when Neku showed up. I was like "I'm not emotionally prepared to see Beat die!" I was expecting the worst and must have fangirled for a solid 10 minutes after that lol I just kept staring at my screen in disbelief

Silly me got too invested in pin mutation and I saw the list of characters... I did anticipate Neku might reappear, but goshdamn that took a bit from this moment.

I was disappointed that Neku had only a minor role in Neo TWEWY honestly, considering he was the main character of the first game and I honestly liked him a lot better than Rindo. I have to give Neo credit though that giving him a more minor role and not having him show up until near the end of the game made this scene so much more awesome when he did finally show up out of nowhere.
