Part of me always feels like if these projects were in Europe or the US people like yourself would hold more favorable opinions.

This project seems unrealistic just because of its scale, but as a civil engineering graduate, I don't see any problems with water and waste transport. In fact the length of the city would make the design pretty simple.

They say that these kind of cities will be in the middle of the nature and you will have it right in front of your door. But they didn't mention if you're actually allowed to ever leave :D

​@@CR800There are many issues with this concept. 1, the line will be made of mirrors, it will reflect alot of sunlight back unto the surrounding environment, which will increase the temperature of the surrounding area. 2. For a train to travel from one end of the line to another in 20mins, it would have to go over 500km per hour, that is too fast for it to constantly stop in between stations, it would have to slow down significantly which would make it less efficient. This city has alot of mobility issues, navigating between levels and then between modules would not make transport efficient, it'll be like navigating a maze. 3. There seems to be a serious lack of sunlight, those living in the bottom levels are going to have a really unpleasant time, in that case is there going to be a very obvious class system, worker's live at the bottom and the rich live up top. 4. They are going to need one hell of a cooling system, a system like that would be immensely power hungry, which could end up making the city energy inefficient. This concept is pretty much the antithesis to sustainability, more so that it doesn't follow the natural coastline, it just cuts right through the landscape, which is pretty environmentally disastrous because such a seperation of the natural habitat would result in god knows how many ecological problems.
