A sentient micro-organism cluster with an AT Field, capable of infecting anything mechanical it touches. While powerful, it was literally tricked into killing itself, thanks to Ritsuko's idea.
I thought the resolution was that she created a situation in which it'd be better of for the angel not to go on the offensive but rather coexist with the supercomputer otherwise it *would* die?
It's incredibly intimidating how intelligent Ritsuko is. She has to be the smartest human alive in the series. Except for falling for Gendo's manipulation. Everyone has a weakness I suppose. Hers was loneliness.
I'm amazed at how highly skilled the scientists on Nerv are at figuring something out, I mean, man, they figured out within a few hours that Leliel's shadow wasn't her real 'body'.
I still wonder what this angel could do to a human if it made contact. It could infect both living tissue and electronics, its potential was near infinite.
Basicaly, angel adopted PC-based structure (a.k.a works as a PC) in order to infiltrate MAGI. And Ritsuko made the MAGI restart and give order to angel to terminate itself. Since angel was now PC, it was unable to disobey such order.
This Angel is a parasitic organism. The highest form of evolution for a parasitic lifeform is full symbiosis, where it lives without causing any harm to the host. This ensures that the host pursues no action that threatens the parasite, and that the parasite has the full protection of the host body for its entire life. Ritsuko created a scenario where the only possible way that this parasite's host bodies, the computer systems of the Magi, would not destroy themselves would be if the Angel ceased to cause harm. She forced the Angel into an inert state because that was the only possible way it could ensure its own survival.
Interestingly, MAGI was invented by Ritsuko's mother. She clone her personalities into 3 computers, which represent: Scientist, Mother, and Women. Guess which is the last stand?
@@MMORPGxDRAGONMANxCZ if an angel touch lilith the 3rd impact will happen . Thats why the angels try to get in there in any form except in this case Here theÁngel try to destroy nerv with the self destruction
If you think this is a true story you are so fucking incredibly delusional that I literally cannot fathom what your mind must be like. I fear you. You are not human.
It's a parasite, like nano machine. It's able to spread and take control of both biological and mechanical matter. It also adapts and evolves accordingly to whatever you throw at it. It tried to spread to MAGI, which is not only the main Operating System / AI of NERV but also it literally runs the Japanese government and the elections are just "for show," since whoever is elected follows orders from MAGI or at least selects from potentially different set of choices MAGI offers. The reason Ireul tried to spread to MAGI is because NERV has a self-destruction mode, just in case. It's mission wasn't to reach Lilith to cause the 3rd Impact but rather get rid of NERV by initiating a self destruct after taking control of MAGI. It wouldn't just "kill," the AI but literally the entire facility would explode / self-destruct, killing everyone inside and destroying most of the important equipment. Ireul also is not actually destroyed but rather "calmed down," / "adapted," / "integrated," / or "converted." Some comments suggests it really works like a parasite, like... completely. Because a parasite doesn't want to cause harm to it's host since it can't survive any other way or in this case. But it doesn't matter, since Ireul's mission is to corrupt MAGI, it has to be in MAGI and it also can't harm MAGI either because of parasitic reasons or because it goes against the goal of the mission. -------------------------- What happens: 1-) Both Ireul and NERV can't destroy MAGI. 2-) Ireul has to adapt and survive inside MAGI and also need to be able to initiate self-destruct by using MAGI. 3-) NERV needs to come up with a solution. 4-) Ireul becomes "computer," because of step 2. 5-) Since Ireul is now a computer, NERV is able to give commands or doesn't have to. The results differ and still debated I think but here are most talked: 1-) Ireul ended up evolving into... MAGI. Basically becoming part of the system and thus no longer an angel or capable of anything. 2-) Ireul ended up evolving so much that it just died because death is the end of evolution? 3-) Ireul ended up becoming "so much computer," that they just "cleaned it," like a virus or feed it a self-destruction code. 3 goes hand in hand with others. You can say they feed it X command and it ended up evolving then dying on it's own, self destructed or evolved to become part of the system.
Basically it's not actually a computer virus but in order to take control of MAGI and initiate a self-destruct on NERV, it ended up becoming a computer virus and then became the computer itself and then either died, self-destructed after a prompt since it's now a computer, or integrated and became part of the system thus it's no longer an angel.
