@tanishaw4233 hi thank you for letting me know. But let me tell you what I've heard too. For a channel like hers with a huge subscription(she's great right?), daily videos of 5+ minutes and an average view count of minimum 10k(20k even) where almost 2k of them might be viewing the comment, 1k actually reading it instead of scrolling, 100 clicking on the timestamp and 13 of them liking it- it is safe to say that it won't affect the view count nor mess up the algorithm. Timestamps solely serve as a quick go-to button for people with ADHD or short attention span(like me) who tend to lose interest very quickly, so instead of skipping too much, we have these timestamps. Some creators do *too* much pp between blocks which results in some people actually forgoing the video entirely and opt for when an editor does it; timestamps under such videos actually lead to more views... Countless other reasons 🤷‍♀️
