I always say Unlucky Morpheus are the best and most underated band from Japan. I think part of the problem there is that they self release and normaly you can only get there stuff from about 2 shops in Tokyo. I keep hoping the guy from JPU records will sign them up. But there is a good side to self releasing, they do not get interfered with by management or labels and they do what they want to do. #fuckingawesome
Given that at their core, Unlucky Morpheus is a bunch of friends that are in other bands screwing around to make Touhou covers, them being as popular as they are now with like zero backing and label support is purely from how talented they are.
This band almost always blasts from the start. I was shocked the first time listened to Destiney of Spirit.... I couldn't believe that they knew how to start a song slowly.
Oh Neon, there's more to come from them :D As a note, this band is formed by friends who love gaming and anime. Alot of their music is inspired or remixed from anime and gaming music. Come down the rabbit hole with me! :P
