Just beat the game today and got this ending after getting all the gifts and ace medals. Honestly I'm glad to be able to say I beat the game and got the good ending and achievement but some of those gifts like having to scale up the tower for that last green coin were NOT worth it lmao
Thanks for posting - I got all gifts, did all side-quests but the game bugged and one Red's gifts didn't make the bar go up so I couldn't 100% the game (and I did check the journal to confirm that I did all the side-quests).
I can forgive a lot of things, only a rare few i can never forgive, things that haunt my thoughts when I embrace the silence, the few times I have fantasies of revenge...but playing this game, it makes me wonder, if it's not threat to me, why not forgive and move on?
I collected every gift but the game bugged out and I didn't get one of the yellow gifts so I'm currently having to replay the entire game to get the true ending.
it's only fitting that A game that you need to literally overclock your brain to play is the one to have the most biblical depiction of free will and how God works.
As an ex-Christian who is currently studying epistemology and apologetics, I did not expect this game to resonate quite strongly with me. I hate Green but I empathize with some of the things he says to White.
Just finished the game. Had all of the gifts before I played the final level. Still chose book of death. Idk why book of life is the objectively better ending.
If you choose the book of life do you have to play the game all over to choose book of death or just replay the mission? I want to get all trophies that's why
You don't have to start over, whenever you pick an ending the game will put you back at the start of judgement day so you can get the other one (you don't lose any progress, and it happens automatically). You can still give gifts to the dead characters, just visit them at the mask shrine.
Honestly, I wouldn’t have minded if it wasn’t for that last gift…why did they have to put a green gift challenge at the end of Marathon, which is already the toughest level…I screwed up the first time halfway through the green ascent up the tower and had to start all over…ugggh.
Sometimes getting 100% it’s its own reward and any extra ending or content is just a cherry on top. Though I will agree that the extra ending is a little underwhelming, I would’ve liked to have seen white reunite with everyone after the final battle.
I don't know. This ending isn't the real reason you'd even do all those side quests, for me anyways. I got all those gifts in those levels because it was fun, simple as. If you play games for a completion medal, I think you're playing games wrong. The gifts just added an extra element of difficulty to the levels that you can already fly through to get those red ace medals, adding a decent bit of replayability, and I enjoyed it for what it was. This true ending was just a nice bonus, not the reason why I got those gifts.
