Jin Kazama. A child of destiny. After fighting Kazuya and Heihachi, an evil spirit swelled within Jin. Awakened by an unknown voice, Jin looked around at a forest completely destroyed. And he knew he was the one who did it. Returning to Yakushima, Jin was plagued with nightmares triggering the devil gene. "If this keeps eating away at me, I don't know how long I can hold on" says Jin. Jin sets out on a journey to end this evil, with destiny as his only guide.
Yoshimitsu..A ninja helping the poor. While breaking into the Mishima Zaibatsu's vault, he found an injured Bryan Fury and helped him escape...A month later, when Yoshimitsu visited Dr. Boskonovich's lab, he found his comrades dead. This was Bryan's thanks. "He'll pay for what he's done," says Yoshimitsu. Learning Bryan will fight in The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5, Yoshimitsu sharpens his sword and enters the fray.
Sonic the Hedgehog. A Mobian hedgehog said to run faster than the speed of sound, now residing in Central City after the defeat of the Biolizard. After receiving a call from Rouge the Bat about The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5, Sonic was elated. But just then, his robotic double Metal Sonic, now as Neo Metal Sonic, decided to join said tournament, with Dr. Eggman pulling the strings. The former of which Sonic hadn’t fought in 11 years. “Man, he‘s one stubborn scientist!”, griped Sonic. “Could Eggman be in cahoots with the G Corporation, too?” Not that Sonic cared for the motives of the G Corporation, he enters The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 to put a stop to both Eggman’s plan and this Neo Metal Sonic once again.
Roman Reigns. The leader of the Bloodline of the WWE. He joined the Usos with his manager, Paul Heyman. After successfully defending the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Kevin Owens, Roman Reigns and the Bloodline launched an assault on Kevin Owens, but Sami Zayn doesn’t want to participate and paid dearly for it. Roman and Paul stepped into the ring, keeps talking about Sami Zayn at the Royal Rumble. But Sami Zayn came back and attacks Roman Reigns and Sami smashed him with a steel chair, but Roman misses. “I will see you soon!” shouted Roman, trash talking to Sami Zayn. Now, Roman enters the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 to fight Sami Zayn.
Lee Chaolan. Heihachi's adopted son and Kazuya's rival. Lee faced Kazuya in the previous tournament. Surprised by Kazuya's existence, Lee lost his focus and the fight. With Heihachi's death. Lee planned to take the Zaibatsu. But he was too late. Lee mutters, "Kazuya's always getting in the way..." One month later, The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 is announced. Lee says, "Kazuya, this time i'll finish you. The Mishima Zaibatsu is mine!"
King A wrestler with the spirit of two champions. After beating Craig Marduk, he followed Marduk to the hospital to kill him. Then he realized revenge was not the answer. Later, King heard Marduk challenged him to a rematch wearing the black jaguar's mask. "I won't let him disgrace my master!" says King. They will settle their score in The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5.
When the Devil Gene takes over Jin Kazama...Jinpachi was able to escape captivity as Honmaru fell..This triggered the evil that had been building up inside Jin..Two months later...Evil has utterly consumed Jin's mind and a deadly force awakened...
Craig Marduk. The once-undefeated Vale Tudo fighter. Unable to accept his loss to King in the previous tournament, Marduk transformed himself into the ultimate weapon. One day, Marduk, in a black jaguar mask, beat everyone in a Vale Tudo tournament to a bloody pulp. "King! You're next!" The stage is set for a rematch at The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5!
Forest Law. Son of Marshall Law. He snuck out with his friend Paul Phoenix to the previous tournament. But loses the match to Hwoarang. While his father was working in Japan, Forest returned to his home in San Francisco where he looked at the empty space of what was once Marshall China, having failed to restore his father's franchise. Two months later, he received an invitation to the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. While reading it, he sees a mysterious girl walking in the streets and falls in love with her. However, upon approaching her, the girl manages to beat him to submission with her gymnastic skills and steals his invitation. Still smitten by the sight of the girl, he knows that she took his invitation and entered the tournament. Determined to know who this mysterious girl is, Forest snuck out of the house again and teamed up with Paul for the tournament.
Kazuya Mishima. Knocked unconscious by Jin in the battle of Honmaru. As he came to, he was attacked by JACKs. "Damn! are they after me too?!" says Kazuya. For a while Kazuya and Heihachi fought as father and son. But Devil Kazuya flew away, leaving Heihachi to die alone. Kazuya enters The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. To make the traitors pay.
Head of the Mishima Zaibatsu and sponsor of the King of Iron Fist Tournament 4, Heihachi Mishima. After losing to Jin Kazama, Heihachi was cornered by a group of Jack robots in Hon-Maru. Heihachi and Kazuya began to fight off the Jacks together but Kazuya fled and Heihachi was caught in the explosion when the Jacks detonated. The tremendous explosion would have killed a normal man but Heihachi, no ordinary man, managed to survive. A month later, Heihachi learned that someone had taken control of the Mishima Zaibatsu and planned to hold the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. Heihachi, having fully recovered, was determined to enter the tournament. "I don't know who's behind this but the Mishima Zaibatsu is mine!"
Steve Fox, a boxing prodigy striving to be the world champion. Steve entered the previous tournament to look into the mystery of his birth. Lei Wulong helped Steve discover that he was actually a creation of the Mishima Zaibatsu. Steve vowed revenge. Just then, Steve learned of The King Of Iron Fist Tournament 5. The world champion enters without a second thought. A determined Steve says, _"The Mishima Zaibatsu will never make another monster like me!"._
Jun Kazama. A mother of Jin Kazama. She trained him the traditional art of karate and Mishima Ryu Fighting Style in The King of Iron Fist Tournament 3. Jin knows this city at Brisbane, Australia. people crowd would new and old. but Jun had been killed by Ogre. Jin it takes revenge for his mother. The next day, Jin is left to set out his journey, and he unlearned the Mishima Ryu Fighting Style and Traditional Art of Karate. after his mother is dead, he resulted to put an end to his grandfather Heihachi Mishima and his father Kazuya Mishima. for that, Jun will alive in graveyard. Prototype Jack. The predecessor to the Jack series. Jack was found by Dr. Boskonovitch after sustaining damage during the tournament. He was taken to his lab for maintenance. Reunited with his former creator, along with his owner Nikolai, Jack received upgrades and improvements to his systems. Among those he had received was the perpetual power generator as a defense countermeasure. One day, Boskonovitch was assaulted by his test subject Bryan Fury who also received the perpetual power generator. In response, Nikolai reactivated Jack to go after Bryan. Setting the coordinates to his whereabouts, Jack seeks him out to the one place he's heading to: the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5.
Marshall Law The fighting chef. After his restaurant failed. Law tried to revive his career in the previous tournament. He failed at that, too. Law, now penniless, stayed in japan to work as a dishwasher. A month later, his wife called him. Their runaway son was in accident, riding around on Paul Phoenix's bike. Faced with his son's mountain of medical bills Law prepares to enter The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5.
Eddie "Tiger" Jackson. The disco fighter. Tiger entered the tournament as a performance gig to show off his superb fighting moves. Not only did he leave the tournament abruptly after several matches, but he had gained several followings from his fans while abroad. Since then, he began to perform his legendary dance moves in concerts, private venues, and clubs around the world. Tiger had just become an international superstar. But one day, he received a strange phone call from someone who claims to be his "number one fan". The caller said to him, "Meet me in the place called Hon-Maru. I will be waiting. Be there or I'll end your career." Bothered by the mysterious caller, Tiger called his agent to trace the call. After several minutes, the agent called back, but failed to find out the identity. Instead, he informs him about the announcement of the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 and that he was already booked for this tournament. Tiger became hesitant to go to the tournament. But realizing that the caller had booked him in, he decided to enter the tournament to find out the caller's identity.
Jinpachi Mishima. Founder of the Mishima Zaibatsu. Jinpachi emerged from the smoldering ruins of the Honmaru temple after his long imprisonment. Long ago, his son, Heihachi, launched a coup against him. He successfully took control of the Zaibatsu and imprisoned Jinpachi in a dungeon beneath the Honmaru. During his imprisonment, Jinpachi was possessed by a vengeful demonic entity that was also imprisoned for centuries. He tried to fight off the possession, but was overwhelmed by its influence. Since then, Jinpachi has spent his life trying to contain the demon inside him. Now freed, Jinpachi finally retook the Mishima Zaibatsu. But the demon had started to take control over his body. Unable to contain it any longer, Jinpachi announces the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 hoping that someone would set his tortured spirit free.
Mokujin - cut from a 2000-year-old oak. Mokujin sprang to life two years ago when Jin fought Ogre. With Jin's win, Mokujin ceased to move, but he had a smile on his wooden face. Now, a powerful entity forces Mokujin to take action once again. Will Mokujin ever be free?
Hwoarang Jin Kazama's rival. Near the end of previous tournament, the Korean Military arrested Hwoarang. At the Korean embassy, a man claiming to be the ambassador passed him a letter. "I've received this letter for you from the military. Take a look." Hwoarang couldn't believe his eyes. "Get me out of here now." says Hwoarang. Next day, Hwoarang flew to Korean to complete his training. Now done with his military service. Hwoarang is ready to finish Jin Kazama!
*Jinpachi Mishima* Jinpachi Mishima. Founder of Mishima Zaibatsu. Jinpachi was imprisoned beneath Honmaru by his own son, Heihachi, before the first King of Iron Fist tournament began. Within days, Jinpachi died of starvation. This was not the end of Jinpachi. A vengeful demonic entity possessed his corpse, reanimating Jinpachi and letting him to live under its control. Forty-four years later, Honmaru fell. After Jinpachi's grandson, Kazuya, left Heihachi to die, the JACK units detonated, freeing Jinpachi in the process. Nearly under full influence of the demonic entity, Jinpachi knew he cannot contain it any longer. With the last of his consciousness left, Jinpachi regained control of the Mishima Zaibatsu and announced the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. Jinpachi hopes that someone will defeat him, setting him free. some alternatives for fun: *Jinpachi Mishima (Human)* Jinpachi Mishima. Founder of Mishima Zaibatsu. Reanimated with overwhelming power, Jinpachi tried to hold back the entity, but had failed. This allowed the entity to fully consume Jinpachi's mind. Spending the next 44 years imprisoned, Honmaru was eventually destroyed, freeing the entity in "Devil Jinpachi." Taking its place as head of Mishima Zaibatsu, the entity that had possessed Jinpachi announces the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. Now entering its own tournament, no one will get in its way. "The world will never be the same," says Devil Jinpachi.
Paul Phoenix The self-proclaimed toughest fighter in the Universe. Paul entered the previous tournament to go head to head with Kazuya Mishima, someone he hadn't fought in 20 years. But he had to get through someone first. "Not Kuma again!" Kuma was tough, Paul got careless for one instant and Kuma floored him. "It's time to started all over again!" says Paul. Two months later, Paul is ready for The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. "I'am the toughest fighter in the Universe!" screams Paul.
Heihachi Mishima. The head of the Mishima Zaibatsu and the sponsor of The King of Iron Fist Tournament 4. A squadron of JACKs cornered Heihachi after his loss to Jin Kazama in Honmaru. At first, Heihachi and Kazuya fought the JACKs together. But Kazuya fled, leaving Heihachi to battle the JACKs alone. The fight would have killed an ordinary human. but Heihachi, no ordinary man, held off the JACKs and survived the ambush. One month later, he learns someone has taken control of Mishima Zaibatsu and opened The King of Iron Fist Tournament. Heihachi prepares to fight again. "I don't know who's behind this, but the Mishima Zaibatsu is mine!" says Heihachi.
Dean Earwicker. Son of an American senator and Taekwondo student. He faced Hwoarang for bragging rights during the tournament, but both sustained injuries ending in a draw. But he doubled down from the last tournament, seeing that all that training had paid off. But one night, he had an encounter with a mysterious man. “I saw you at the tournament, American. Show me what you got.” “You wanna fight?” Dean laughs, “My Taekwondo is no match to you!” But the man, who also possesses Taekwondo fighting skills, overpowers Dean and knocks him unconscious. Waking up in a hotel, Dean can’t help shake off what he had encountered. “That man is Taekwondo? That is impossible. I could have beat him with a single kick.” Then he found out about The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. Still curious about his last encounter, Dean enters the tournament to uncover the identity of this mysterious Taekwondo practitioner.
Bryan Fury..A cyborg made by Dr. Abel. Bryan entrusted Dr. Bosconovich with giving him a perfect body. However...Bryan's body was too complex. He installed a perpetual generator instead. Bryan yells, "Endless power? This is perfect!" Bryan attacked the doctor and Manji clan members and left the lab in ruins...Bryan learns of The King of Iron Fist Tournamet 5. He feels it's time for a real test of his new abilities.
Roger. A genetically-engineered kangaroo. Alex. A raptor created using fossilized deinonychus DNA and enhanced with kangaroo DNA.Both were created for military purposes, and bred for combat under the care of Dr. Boskonovitch. But the project was terminated after the King of Iron Fist Tournament 2, with the whereabouts of both Alex and Roger, and the remaining DNA samples unknown. Years later, a few fossilized DNA samples were found in possession by G Corporation intended for use in scientific purposes. But the executives have a special use for their top secret project. By using both the deinonychus and kangaroo DNA, and modifying it with the fossilized DNA sample of a velociraptor, G Corporation have created a more powerful life form dubbed GBLF-01 or "Alex II". This new version of the original Alex not only retains his kangaroo-like boxing style, but possesses keen primal instincts and can ambushi his prey with his cloaking ability. Making Alex II an ideal prototype for G Corporation to mass produce copies of him as bioweapons. With the Mishima Zaibatsu announcing the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5, the science team decided to send out Alex II for testing.
Kunimitsu. A thief and an ex-member of the Manji clan. After being humiliated and defeated by Michelle, Kunimitsu sought solace with her grandfather, a sword smith with a reputation. Kunimitsu, now collecting sheathed knives for her weapons to kill the Mishima ninjas. And she escaped on top of the roof. As Kunimitsu starts going back home to her daughter, Yoshimitsu announced that he’s coming to kill her. “Damn! It’s Yoshimitsu again! I will stop him at the tournament!” said Kunimitsu, vowing to stop Yoshimitsu. She enters the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 to fight Yoshimitsu for sure.
Ken "Godhand" Mishima. The mercenary super-soldier. Entering the previous tournament, he finally faced his long lost brother Kazuya. But a terrorist attack orchestrated by the Red Scorpion forced Godhand out of the match as the Tekken Force responded in full force and evacuated him to safety. A few days later, Godhand was appointed as president of one of the Zaibatsu's subsidiaries, Mishima Construction Co., but he holds a deep concern about the Red Scorpion's plan to undermine the Zaibatsu. Using his available resources, Godhand secretly plans to upgrade his mechanical arm to its full potential, turning himself into a living weapon; and utilizes contacts with the Tekken Force intelligence network to find out where the Red Scorpion will strike next. When one of his agents discovers that the Red Scorpion will strike during the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5, Godhand finishes updating his mechanical arm and prepares for his departure for the tournament.
Nami Kaze. The martial arts nurse. She enters the previous tournament to confront Heihachi who she believes was scheming to take over the dojos and impose his fighting styles by force. During the tournament, Nami faces her opponent: Jin Kazama. But upon facing him, she starts having flashbacks of her childhood role model Jun Kazama. Causing her to lose focus to allow Jin to easily defeat her. Two months later, Nami recovers back at home. She found out later that Heihachi was presumed dead after the Honmaru Incident, before she could find out what he was scheming. But ever since the previous tournament, she starts to think to herself about Jin. "Jin Kazama? Is he related to Jun Kazama?" Still confused about it, she decided to take a week of unpaid time off from her work, allowing herself plenty of time to train herself. After receiving an invitation to the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5, Nami immediately enters. This time, she seeks to uncover the truth about Jin and his connection to her childhood role model Jun.
Heihachi Mishima The head of the Mishima Zaibatsu and the sponsor of The King of Iron Fist Tournament 4. A squadron of JACKs cornered Heihachi after his loss to Jin Kazama in Honmaru.
JACK-5. A beloved weapon. GUNJACK protected the physicist jane. when Tekken fighters attacked her inside Mishima Zaibatsu Heavy industries. The next day, Jane was saved by a G Corporation freighter. She became an engineer for G Corporation, developing JACK-4 and it's successor, JACK-5. They decide to use The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 for field testing.
Egbert Wells. The drunken coach. He foolishly enters the tournament while intoxicated, believing that he can fight in his drunken state. He passes out during one match. He woke up the next day, only to find that he was disqualified from the tournament after finding that his blood alcohol content was above 0.4 percent, and was caught drinking and in possession of alcohol during the participation in the tournament. This leads Egbert to be banned from ever participating in future games, recommending he attend a rehab meeting instead. Egbert didn't appear at the meeting. Instead he wanders the streets drinking his sorrows away muttering, "I lost my job, but I'm alright. I may be drunk, but I can fight." Until he sees a newspaper flyer announcing the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. But to get to the tournament, Egbert has to sober up first. So he began to drink in moderation, and workout and practice his fighting skills regularly. Despite his violation from the previous tournament, Egbert entered today's tournament. This time, being sobered and prepared. Unaware that he snuck a special bottle of a highly intoxicating whiskey he'd been saving for the next match.
Hwoarang Jin kazama rival. On the end of the previous tournament he got aressted by the korean military. A month later a letter came through. hwoarang could'nt believe his eye. 'Get me out of here!' He flew back to korea to finish his training and enter the king of iron fist torunament 5 to finish off jin kazama
Rob Wolfgang. The blazing hot-rodder of the asphalt. After losing in the tournament, he returned to his gang in the United States. However, Rob is still determined to defeat Paul Phoenix and begins to train himself frequently. "That punk Paul Phoenix thinks he can make a fool out of me? I'll crush him the next time I see him!" But the gang leader told him to forget about facing him again. That night, while driving his motorcycle on the highway, Rob suddenly sees Paul and begins to chase him; wielding a crowbar calling out to him, "Paul, I'm gonna wreck you along with your bike!" But he crashes into an oncoming car before he goes in for the kill. Months later after being released from the hospital, Rob went to his gang for another group training. Still determined to face Paul, he enters the event he had been waiting for: The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5.
Angel. Out to save Kazuya's soul. Trying to seek out the Devil Gene, it also sensed a second Devil Gene emanating from his biological son Jin Kazama. Angel now faces to save the souls of both Kazuya and Jin from the Devil Gene's control. But when the Honmaru was destroyed from the attack by G Corporation, it unleashes an evil energy similar to the Devil Gene. Assuming its mortal form Eva, Angel began to search for clues about the Honmaru. It finds that the Honmaru houses the founder of the Mishima Zaibatsu, Jinpachi, and believes that he was possessed after death by a demonic spirit. Confirming that Jinpachi was possessed, Angel began its mission to free him. But when the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 was mysteriously announced, it sensed the Devil Genes' presence too. Angel enters the tournament to free Jinpachi from his possession, including Kazuya and Jin.
The Undertaker. The phenomenal messenger of death. He enters the tournament for the soul of Heihachi Mishima, defeating the other contestants. But one contestant caught wind of The Undertaker who is just as bad as Heihachi: Craig Marduk. Sensing him inside his soul, he reveals that Marduk has committed a grave sin: murder and lust. This caused him to flee into a rage for his soul. The tournament ended abruptly, however. Returning to his haunting grounds in Death Valley, The Undertaker continues to construct caskets and find other souls deemed corrupted from crooked politicians to criminals. As months passed, another flyer was sent to his workshop. This time announcing the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. Remembering his confrontation with Marduk he proclaims, “Craig Marduk. You have committed a grave sin that is tainting your soul. You have murdered a once noble man. For that, your soul will be mine and this casket will become your final resting place.” Then he rolled his eyes back and uttered in a menacing growl. “Rest in peace!”
Floyd "Sugar" McGregor. The Cajun savate champion of Louisiana. Sugar entered the tournament as an advertising stunt for his restaurant franchise, The Sugar Shack. Unfortunately, for the first time in his life, he was defeated and disqualified. Returning to New Orleans in a somber mood, Sugar began to question himself. "Am I getting too old for all this fighting?" He believes that thirty years of his fighting career, along with his first loss at the previous tournament, has taken a toll on his age and integrity. So he decided to finally retire and concentrate on managing his business. Despite his failure, Sugar finally hired someone as an advertising agent and his restaurant took off. But one day, one of his restaurants was set on fire during a grand opening, claiming the lives of a lot of customers and staff. The incident shocked Sugar. But upon realizing who did it, he believes that a former competitor of his, Marshall Law whose restaurant Marshall China went out of business after losing a franchise war to The Sugar Shack, was behind it. The next day, a letter was sent to Sugar containing the invitation to The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. "Nobody should trash one of my Sugar Shack restaurants and get away with it." He says, "That bastard Marshall Law will answer for his crimes."
Wild Card. The smiling jester thief. He successfully pulled a heist on the Mishima Zaibatsu, stealing a load of prize money before leaving a joker card as a calling card with the note written on the other side saying, "Thanks for the grand prize!" A month later, he was ambushed by the assassin, Nina Williams, who was hired by The Syndicate to kill him. Upon seeing her, Wild Card's past was revealed. Twenty years ago, he was a professional thief named Dexter Frist who worked for Kazuya Mishima in the Zaibatsu's extortion ring. Nina, who was sent to assassinate Kazuya, captured him and interrogates him with a bomb set to detonate in order for him to talk. When Dexter gave her the information, Nina left him to his fate and the bomb exploded. The explosion left him horribly disfigured that resulted in him receiving plastic surgery that forms his signature smile. Upon looking at what he has become, Dexter descends into madness. Wanting revenge against Nina for his disfigurement, he discovers that she is heading to the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. Wild Card eerily grins, excited at the chance to take his long time revenge against her.
Temujin Khan. The Mongolian conqueror of fighting. He enters the tournament to face Heihachi to obtain the Mishima Style Fighting Karate. But was defeated by another practitioner, Kazuya Mishima. While recovering back in Mongolia, Temujin recognizes how his ancestors have feared the Mishima martial arts. Then he heard of the news of Heihachi’s death, denying his chances of facing him. Yet his encounter with Kazuya makes him more desperate for his conquest. “Heihachi may have died, but that other Mishima, Kazuya, would be a worthy opponent to me.” One of the elders told Temujin about the legendary Jinpachi Mishima, who is the sole practitioner of the Mishima Style Fighting Karate who have written and stored records of his fighting styles and techniques deep in the Hon-Maru temple. It is said that many of his records fell into Heihachi’s hands after his supposed death. The next day, a letter came to him announcing the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. Fully recovered, Temujin sets out again to the tournament with the intention of either to obtain Jinpachi’s records or to defeat Kazuya for the Mishima Style Fighting Karate.
Chief Lightfoot. The warrior chieftain. Through an omen presented to him, he entered the tournament to hunt down the so-called winged beasts to prevent doomsday. They must not be in conflict, or the lands including ours will be destroyed." But the priest also proclaimed another omen. "An unnatural beast with a gaping mouth had emerged from the realm of fires. This so-called King of Iron Fist Tournament 5, this beast bellows, shall call forth the two winged horned beasts to battle again." Thanks to the shaman priest's advice, Lightfoot heads to the tournament for the two winged beasts, Jin and Kazuya, including the "beast with a gaping mouth".
Helene Sage. The champion of youth. Desperate to save her parents, she enters the King of Iron Fist Tournament 4 against her will by the syndicate. But during the tournament, she was approached by detective Lei Wulong who is investigating the syndicate’s activities abroad. Helene told him about the hostage situation, giving Lei more insights into the syndicate. Meanwhile back in Paris, Helene is horrified to see that her once-loyal fans are now turning against her. Whispers and magazine tabloids of scandals echoed through the public as her reputation tarnishes. As she tried to publicly dispel the rumors, few believed her while most of the people mocked her. Now a social pariah, Helene was forced to keep a low profile. One day, she received a phone call from the syndicate. “If you want to save your parents, including your reputation, do as we say.” The caller told her about the upcoming King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. Helene, feeling compelled against her will once again, re-enters the tournament in secrecy. Knowingly and hopefully that the detective Lei will rescue her parents.
*Leona Heidern* Leona was born in an unnamed village, and spent her childhood there with her family. When Leona was still a child, Goenitz came to her village and demanded to talk to Guidel, Leona's father and the leader of the village. Goenitz requested that Guidel join him in their duties to serve Orochi, as everyone in the village were Orochi bloodline members. However, Guidel refused as he and his family liked peace and not the violent tendencies created by the Orochi blood. Enraged, Goenitz leaves, but not before smiling at Leona. That night, Leona lost control of herself, entering the Riot of Blood, and slaughtered everyone in the village. Goenitz was pleased, and put her blood lust to rest for a time "when he needs her again". After the event, Leona loses her memories and wanders aimlessly until she is found by Heidern, who eventually decides to adopt her. Heidern was taken back by her natural fighting ability, and decides to train her as a warrior under his command. Years later after the king of fighters 97 Tournament, Leona and the Ikari Warriors team adding other member for the 99 edition of king of fighters, "We had a mission, in this tournament Whip has part to the team" say's Leona.
Leonard Gardner. A war veteran and operative of the U.S. special forces. As a retaliatory mission for the raid on G Corporation, his strike team raided the Mishima Zaibatsu, killing all Tekken Force soldiers and retrieving the stolen data before extraction. With the mission successful, Leonard returns home to Nebraska to be with his family. However, during a camping trip, he got a call from one of his superiors. "Lieutenant Gardner. We need you back at base. This is urgent." Summoned back to base, Leonard was greeted by a general, along with a representative of G Corporation. This time, he was assigned to a special task group, the Prowler Team. The general explains that the U.S. military and G Corporation had agreed for a top secret mission against the Mishima Zaibatsu. He received a briefing that despite G Corporation's effort to assassinate Heihachi Mishima, an unknown source behind the Zaibatsu had announced The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. "I don't like what this idea is going to be." Leonard says to himself, "But if this team and this mission goes according to plan, the Zaibatsu must be destroyed once and for all!" Leonard and the Prowler Team are deployed to combat once again.
Jack-3. Codenamed: Gun Jack. Two years ago, Gun Jack infiltrated the Mishima Industries with a physicist named Jane. Upon being discovered by the Tekken Force, he shielded himself in front of Jane to allow her to escape. After a hail of gunfire, Gun Jack ceased to move. Because of him being valuable to the Zaibatsu as part of Project Gun Jack, Gun Jack was placed in the R&D department to be rebuilt and reprogrammed under Heihachi's orders. Two years later, Gun Jack was reactivated. Now under control by the Mishima Zaibatsu, he was sent out into the field for a top secret mission. The objectives given to him: to capture Jane and destroy G Corporation.

With Ogre as their living god, Antonio and the Xopalehuatl Cartel began to spread their influence across the continent through fear. But upon hearing the legends about the Devil Gene, Antonio believes that this supernatural unholy power could turn Ogre into an almighty deity. Antonio and his followers present a pottery filled with the blood of a hundred victims, a pair of sacrificed men, and an invitation to the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 as offerings to Ogre. Still longing for the blood and soul of Jin Kazama, and the powers of the Devil Gene, Ogre accepted their offerings and left for the tournament while Antonio prays for his victory.
El Jaguar. The professional sicario hitman of Los Verdes. He failed to locate and kill Jin, who killed Ogre in the previous tournament two years ago. But manages to recover Ogre’s remains from the Zaibatsu’s laboratory. Back in Nuevo Colinas, Mexico, members of the Los Verdes held an ancient Aztec funeral ceremony for the remains of their fallen god - the god of fighting, Xopalehuatlcatl. Presenting offerings of money, food, and human sacrifices. That night, the crime lord and El Jaguar were reminiscing in the desert near the ancient temple when they were suddenly attacked by a demonic entity. Upon their close encounter, they both realized that the demon who attacked them bears resemblance to the man who killed Ogre, Jin Kazama. Months after that ordeal, a flier was sent to the crime lord’s desk announcing the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. Still shaken by the fact that the demon and Jin Kazama are the exact same, the crime lord called upon El Jaguar once again. This time, to kill Jin personally. Before Jaguar leaves for the tournament, the crime lord tells him, “When you find that el diablo Jin Kazama, kill him and bring me his head!” To which Jaguar responded, “With pleasure, jefe”.

The same test results that ended his career four years ago. Ben was left outraged. To make matters worse, his wife found out about his illegal underground fighting scheme and filed for a divorce. After she left him with custody of his kids, Ben fell into a deep depression. “How could I ever get my fame back after my failed test?” Ben complains to himself. While dining in a restaurant, he overheard a conversation about him. It was his agent talking to someone on his cellphone. Eavesdropping, Ben hears something about the doping test jokingly saying, “The fake test I’ve setup worked like a charm. His career went downhill, along with his pride. So much for that, he is now an All-American Disappointment!” Revealing that Ben’s doping test was rigged. Then he hears about the upcoming King of Iron Fist Tournament 5, and that he was added to the roster while the fake doping test is already in place. “That bastard will pay for all the damage he has done to me!” Ben said as his agent re-enters him to the tournament, knowingly who is responsible for his downfall.

Ryan Lewis. An ecological fighter with psychic abilities. Investigating to the whereabouts of his former supervisor, Jun Kazama, his clue points to a young man named Jin Kazama. Approaching Jin, he asks him, "Are you the child of Jun Kazama?" Upon hearing his mother's name, the Devil Gene within Jin triggers. Ryan watched in horror as he transformed into his devil form and attacks him. He woke up in a hospital and sees his boss, the chief of the W.W.W.C., standing next to him. He explains to him that Jun may still be alive after the attack by Ogre years ago, but the chief dismissed his findings saying, "The report confirms that Jun is dead. There is no use for you going around, chasing ghosts." He refused to believe what the chief says about her fate. Knowing that Jin is Jun's child and one of his leads to finding her, Ryan uses his ESP abilities once again to track him down. Finding a discarded flyer announcing The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 while searching in Yakushima, Ryan sets off to find Jin.
Sake. A ruthless rogue ninja. In hardening his past resolve, he faced his former master Yoshimitsu to steal the sword. He was unsuccessful and escapes from the tournament before Yoshimitsu tries to execute him. While wandering through the forest, Sake was reunited with his former partner Kunimitsu who has a family of her own. Upon telling her about his attempts to retrieve the sword for her grandfather, Kunimitsu broke the news to him that her grandfather had already passed away, making an attempt to replicate Yoshimitsu's sword impossible to achieve. Despite the news, Sake still swore to deliver it to her as promised. With news spreading around that the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 was announced, he immediately enters the tournament once again with his mind still set on Yoshimitsu for the sword.
Fiona Gilberto. The ferocious fighting Brazilian BOPE agent. She finally faced her prime suspect, Kazuya Mishima, in the previous tournament in an attempt to arrest him. But he got away before she could make an arrest thanks to an interference by Bruce Irvin. Despite this, Fiona continues her search in finding Kazuya. But since G Corporation was responsible for her master's death, she decided to start her investigation into the company. Upon hacking into their files, she discovers that the suspect she had captured earlier was not alone. Bruce Irvin, who was also ordered by Kazuya, was also present in the crime scene where he burned down the dojo before the suspect killed her master, Becerra. Armed with information as proof of their crimes, Fiona sends the report to BOPE to investigate G Corporation before entering The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. Once again in pursuit for Kazuya and Bruce.
Amy Nascimento. A tonfa practitioner of the arts of hawakan. She enters the tournament with the sole purpose of recovering the stolen family artifact, the Talim Totem. While at Hon-Maru, she manages to incapacitate the guards and recover the Talim Totem. But is ambushed by an incoming swarm of Jack-4s sent by G Corporation along the way before making her escape. Returning to her home in Luzon Province in the Philippines, the entire Nascimento family celebrated the return of the Talim Totem years since World War Two, with Amy receiving praise as a hero by her parents, siblings, and cousins. That night, Amy had a dream seeing an imposing and mighty old man introducing himself as Jinpachi Mishima. Jinpachi apologizes to Amy for his family's theft of the relic from her home country, but begs him to free him from his suffering before turning into a monstrous creature. Awakened by this, she finds an envelope containing a flyer announcing The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. With her mind still reeling from the dream she had, Amy sets out for another journey. This time, seeking for the old man named Jinpachi.
Ogre has consumed the souls of several fighters during his hunt. But after Jinpachi was released after the destruction of the Hon-Maru, it unleashes a demonic energy emanating from the ruins.
