so much time to do the math to figure the scale of a print from a known reference point? not really that bad i do it all the time. that being said i did just buy this tool and cant wait to use it.

Good video, but I'm kinda stuck trying to figure out how to set the custom scale to inches to feet. For instance, I have a floorpan that I printed out from a screen capture. The width of the building is 7-1/16th inches and the drawing says 49'-0" so if I go into the custom mode, I see all sorts of metric stuff, but I haven't yet found a "Feet" setting. Am I missing something here? Can someone walk me through that? TIA-Mike

Looks cool and I’m a backer, but after watching you use it I think it may slow you down?

Finding the zero to line up with your drawing seem difficult, i presume you should slide the slider all the way left but you always used the blue line to line up to your drawing. that would explain the inaccuracy you were getting measuring the table for example. a little mark etched on the edge of the ruler to know the zero would be helpful. Another issue i see is the thickness of the moving pointer. are you to stop at the centre left or right of it to take your measurement? The caliper add-on seem interesting and would provide you with the proper zero position. Speaking of Caliper, most of them have a Zero button to reset the zero. how does this ruler handle that? how is the repeatability of the measures? Another thing that would have been nice is if the ruler length was a bit more then 30cm 40cm would have been sweet and more versatile for drafting and measuring A3 plans. Nice review, it's always reassuring to see the actual product during a kickstarter campaign. Thanks.

make sure you understand ALL of the poorly written directions. if you mess it up - if the little slider pops out and spews little pieces about they won't repair it. even if offered to pay for the repair.

Sadly an overpriced and not really precise tool… Hightech? New era of technology? Really? 🤣
