The fact that this doesn’t sound “electronic”, and you can isolate the harmonics, pitch bends, etc, is a game changer. This would be amazing for lots of situations. Nothing will take the place of a real handpan, but this looks like tons of fun!
@@callmeishmael3031no. You can never truly replace a real instrument with technology. Not that the technology is bad, it’s just that there’s so much that goes into an instrument that it’s virtually impossible to recreate it one to one. I mean computers have the power to recreate entire orchestras and play more precisely than any human who ever lived, yet real orchestras are still a very real thing.
this is awsome for live performances where we all know how difficult is to amplify an acoustic handpan when there's another instrumenst or electronics playing nice
Actually speaking WHAT is needed is One continuous pressure sensitive grid! That can be set to trigger anything. then just add Diy/made Overlays and boom
How would you do things like knuckle knocks, ghost note sounds, or add vibrato? This seems awesome to me only because i'm assuming it can change tune with a push of a button, but, still seems like it would be missing a lot from the real deal.
Hi Jon, yes you can set any samples to each pads. Basically, there are 2 ways of change scales. First what we prefer is to use our "live scales" what are the real sound of an acoustic handpan scale. At the beginning there are 6 live scales, but in the future, our instrument update will download automaticly more live scales to all NEOTONE beta. Other possibility is setting custom scales from the existing samples - what you asked -, but in this case the result may not be as integrated as the live sound of an acoustic scale. It is possible that disharmony will occur between certain sound samples if they are selected from scales of very different moods. Current live scales & more here: digitalhandpan.com/#faq
@laynie sammy n lilah Yes, NEOTONE is available now! You can find more information here: digitalhandpan.com/#faq If you are interested in purchase a NEOTONE please email us at neotone@digitalhandpan.com. Thank you! ❤
Fantastic idea, marvelous execution. Wish you great luck, sales and investor support. Having inside a speaker competitive quality-wise to JBL Flip or similar would increase interest for audience who want to learn and just play with friends. By the way is there a chance to release the song from 00:42? Incredible composition, very modern and mixed up nicely with so many different instruments.
Hi Max, thanks for the good wishes. We do our best, but as you mentioned, sometimes also need luck :) This song was written by a maker of MAG Instruments, his name is Marcell Vértes. (He plays on trumpet on the video.) If you need any content, or interested of songwriting you can contact him on: facebook.com/marcell.vertes

I will assume is gonna be over $1000..as all the digital handpan in market costs bt. $1200 to $2000 and if you want to customize it..add another $$$$1000
Hi Ferry Vorstenbosch! Yes, you will find many useful informations here: digitalhandpan.com/#faq If you have any further questions or would like to purchase, please send us an email at neotone@digitalhandpan.com ! thank you for your interest!❤ NEOTONE Team
Hi Ferry! At this moment, you can not load your own samples. Our system is much more detailed, than use one velocity session/tonfield. It needs 6-8 different tones/each notes with many velocity samples. But you can pitch down the current samples to ocateve 1, but I'm not shure that the result will fine with a high pitch step..
It is looking great, but has a built-in battery. Why should i spend so much money on a product that's made to be thrown away in the future? Correct me if my information is wrong.
This is genius, looks and sounds amazing! I hope this works out well for you guys, and hopefully the price can go down at some point - really hoping for an affordable alternative to handpans of the rav vast for a long time now 🥲
