Our four-week trip to Nepal began in Kathmandu. We then set off in a jeep accompanied by a guide into the Himalayas. The trip went to Upper Mustang (formerly the Kingdom of Lo) is an upper part (northern area) of the Mustang district, which is located in Nepal. Upper Mustang was a restricted kingdom until 1992, making it one of the best-preserved regions in the world, where a large part of the population still speaks traditional Tibetan languages. We explored Nepal surrounded by mountains over 8,000 m high such as Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and the beautiful Nilgiri ranges. We really enjoyed hiking at almost 4,000 m surrounded by the Poonhill Mountains. The towns of Muktinath and Ghorepani are fantastic for trekking.
