This is the story of a businessman who achieved everything in just 25 years, had 21 companies under him, an ex- Member of Parliament, and a source of inspiration for many. He is now facing charges for a fraud of almost 800 crore from 2000+ people who deposited their life savings in his cooperative. The Police has labelled the fraud as an Organized crime. This is the Dark story of Civil Group.

Thank you for speaking the truth. My family has suffered directly as a result of this man's greed. I know of people who died because they could not get their money back from Civil Savings and Corporate when they needed it the most. I have always remained appalled at how people with money and power get away with fraud and corruption so easily in our country. Also, even though this remains such a big case, the mainstream media remains silent. Many people have lost their lives, some people are still struggling because their entire life's earnings were taken away from them. Whether the government does the right thing or not, Karma will find its way.

In my case , Gauri sankhar saving and co-operative has done a same thing to us. It's been 6 years already this guy 'Bijay Raj tuladhar' the chairman has taken money around 11cr. He is currently at USA chilling with two daughters there. Irony is that many cases were applied but he escapes every single time.. sad truth in nepal

I do not know why people deposit money for a few interest rate - Many deposit money due to referral of some relative, friend - Some even consider cooperative as bank. Cooperatives are operated like kirana pasal - young marketing executives are taught principles of cooperatives and send for collection of deposits - Most people deposit money looking at young marketing executives - Even a good running cooperatives can be bad the moment Chairman / CEO of Cooperative is changed and has bad intention.

@@sanijmaharjan3339 Nepalese are very naive - they trust easily and do not want to be chucho when cooperatives are near and referred by some friends and relatives. I deposit 5,000 into bank and I suggest everyone I meet to open account on A Class Bank instead of cooperatives and make them aware of risk associated with cooperatives - in my opinion decentralization is not applicable - Governing authority nabhayera ho - Deposit ko 36000% loan liyo re kasle control/correct garne - There are many cooperative associations (district/central) in Nepal - They only provide training to their members. Bank ko case ma Nepal Rastra Bank le strict control gareko huncha - Cooperatives ma kasle control garne ta - There used to be agricultural cooperatives in our town where agricultural produce were collected and sold on behalf of farmers (but these types of cooperatives now are in very small number and are truly run on cooperative principles)

Controlling 30000+ is difficult for national cooperative federation. NRB lai control garna diyo vani Pani sakdaina. But co-operative ma fraud Haru mostly due to centralization of power. Decentralization of authority le fraud minimize garxa, so national cooperative federation must force cooperative to go for decentralization of power and cooperative association Haru form garaunu paryo.

after watching this video I have more respect for Ichchha Raj Tamang and other businessmen who achieved so much and gave employments to thousands through those 21 companies. businessmen like him and others who face the legal battle rather than running away is respected. Nepalese businessmen could take asylum in other countries like those Indian businessmen. But he is fighting the legal battle to prove his innocence. All operatives even banks in Nepal are having liquidity problem, the economy is in bad condition, inflation is so high, but government and authorities are trying to cover it up so that public don't panic.

Nepal Rastra Bank is also guilty of negligence and short sightedness. Why cannot they make some rules to control the free running horses without bridle. If they (nrb) can control the A class banks surely they can control the cooperatives too. What is lacking is the willpower of the NRB or lethargy of the NRB.
