I am hindu living in USA. This is the second time I saw Nepali Wedding Video on the same day. It is similar to gujarati wedding. I was wondering what are those necklaces called that I saw on many Nepali women with red and green beads and one gold round type piece in the middle? The bride has really long green one and red one. What martial are they made out from? Someone that knows Nepali culture please answer. Thank You In Advance!!! I really enjoyed watching both Nepali wedding videos. Congratulations to Krishna and Jasmee and to Untam and Sushmita.
It is called "Tilahari"! the short one is worn around the neck and the long one(chadke tilahari) is normally worn diagonally around the body! The metal piece is commonly made out of gold. It is quite popular among womens of every community here! Greetings from Nepal🇳🇵
