Nepotism Adventure Series, Part 1: Taxes 

It's a shame this series died, I was looking forward to the end of it and seeing your comedy unfold one last time with these characters.

You know, I was staring to miss the darker humor of MAS, but then the history book song came in, and I was like "YES...."

Theory: Rainbow Dash took over the writing. This is just a giant rainbow dash fanfiction

I really hope that, while every other character looks and acts different, Sweetie Belle will still be Thrackerzod. No continuity reboot can stop a completely ordinary pony such as her!

Mentally advanced was always my favorite MLP fan series cause the dialogue felt like Home Movies Organic level haha so this was great

Oh. Absolutely phenomenal. There's just something about ponies theorizing about basic things and calling them revelations that is just so adorable. XD I love the detail of stuff like the butterfly in the beginning, and the intro looks great. Kinda reminds me of an adult swim show for some reason. Can't wait for the next one!

I'm going to miss the Mentally Advanced Series. A world I was genuinely interested in and had a degree of love for has, for all intents and purposes, ended. I will certainly mourn it's loss. But Greg wanted to move on to something else, and I completely understand and respect that. We don't need to look back on the past, but look forward to the future. I can't wait to see what all the Nepotism Adventure Series has in store.

I'm not sure if I should take Rarity's complaints about Sweetie Belle to be "Sweetie Belle is just a normal idiot child" or "Thrackerzod has gotten better at acting like a child to blend in with children", or "Thrackerzod has trouble with comprehending self-preservation against mundane objects". Please put Thrackerzod in the NAS series Greg! EDIT: If "Sweetie Belle is just a normal idiot child" IS the situation here, the question then becomes "was Thrackerzod ever there in NAS-verse, or has Thrackerzod and Co given up, and left a mentally damaged Sweetie Belle in the body that he abandoned?"

I just love the voice acting, it's on point! The style is a little weird maybe but that's personal preference.

This is even better than I anticipated. Been waiting for this a while and can't say I'm disappointed.

Honestly I miss this series.

13 years into the future actually. Cue Squidward on the floor doing weird situps and saying, "Future!!!! Future!!!!!"

You know, I'm really liking this adorably innocent and excited Twilight. I think a Twilight this cute turns out to be just what the abridged-series-and-similar-RU-vid-stuff scene needed.

I love how Rarity has a tiny horn compared to wizard Twilight and how equestrian education is portrayed, just great.

So. This art style is admittedly unusual. The animation is smooth. The voice acting is on point. I love this.

They're not Mentally advanced that much anymore. I really love this new series so far. Is this going to be like a big story line or something? Like in the next episode are they going to start collecting taxes from ponies and everyone else gets angry until they sing a song and they're suddenly okay with giving over 80% of their money to artificially inflate the success of a local business.

It's not Mentally Advanced, but you can still see the roots of the Mentally Advanced Series in this. How it's influenced this one. Regardless, this stands on it's own, and is both adorable and hilarious. Also, I caught the nepotism joke at the end.

Is this going to be a world where everyone except dash is stupid.

Love the animation, such detail in the movement of the ears, eyes and limbs. Like when Twi puts her "arm" on Rarity and Rare closes her eye due to the hair being in it. That's quality right there.

Why are there only two episodes? This is hilarious.

Dang the close captioning is next level: describing in poetic detail each shifting part of the opening theme, "drums and cymbal with bass, indicating a factory."

Will we ever get more Neptism Adventure Series episodes?! I LOVE it. The animation is the best and the creator of all these videos is incredibly witty and hilarious. I could watch him make parodies of literally anything. Such wonderful, dry humor. Please make more!

MAS will be missed, but I respect it because it didn't make sense to continue. MAS characters have a special place in my heart and when I watch this I'll cry because I'm laughing so hard at ponies who can't count. Seriously Thank you.

I really can't believe that you've been doing this for seven years now! Congratulations on staying strong and adapting through all the challenges that have been thrown your way. This was an awesome episode in my opinion. I still can't get over how catchy that intro is. I can't place my finger on what it is but I could rewatch that segment a several times and still feel like theres something I might've missed with All that commotion. It just goes to show how much time and effort you put into your content. I really liked the tax song you worked into twilight's book. It was a really cool and engaging way of actually telling the story about pony taxes while still remaining highly entertaining. Despite all the changes and evolving that your channel has had to under go, I think its made your content leagues better than it started off. Your jokes are far more clever, and your creating your own puppet rigs and backgrounds. Looking at your progression still inspires myself to get back on the horse when I feel like in not that good at something because of whatever reason. Your videos always brings a smile to my face and joy to my heart so thanks for that! Best of luck to you in the years to come.

Okay, I kind of let this slip by at first, but after watching the Serious Analysis just now and coming back with an informed perspective, this is 100% more hilarious.

Did Twilight invent inflation?

I'm used to getting old videos I liked popping up on my recommended and going 'OMFG this was 5 years ago?!' so for it to not even be 1 year [by like 2 weeks] is refreshing.

and now we get to the point, where parody of the show is more anticipated and enjoyable, than the original

I love how this called so many things the show would go on to address- Twilight's number of students and leadership role, and that Starlight wasn't actually as forgiven as initially suggested. But it even got the friggin "Twilight Sparkle never read the Self-Help book in her possession that would help her with her book problem" joke that a whole episode hinged on.

While this one still have that Dawn dark humor writing style, it's actually way more cute and Twilight seems to be more happier than depressed or racist all the time, a shame this didn't last long.

OMG that book reading was like hearing a new Gilbert & Sullivan song! That was incredible. Fantastic work!

Are these the same characters from the Mentally Advanced Series? Because I got kinda attached to them over the years and I'd hate to see them go.

Feel like this is much more lighthearted than your Mentally Advanced series... everyone seems so happy comparatively. Especially Twilight was a major downer everytime she was on. In regards to Glimmer... i feel like you wander around in circles that jerk each other's opinions. Glimmer now is a far cry from her high point of being hated. Maybe step out for a while of your negative circles and look around, its not just Glimmer... tons of people still love the show to pieces. Also love the turning soundeffect in combination with the animation... sooo cute.

I loved this so much, especially how Twilight was actually trying to be helpful and cared when Rarity states she would smit thee with a marbel!😂

I DO love Starlight Glimmer! How did you know?

The intro was absolutely beautiful just by itself, the characters' personalities shine through beautifully just in those first few seconds! And the promise of a great first episode from it having such a great intro didn't disappoint, either. I love the idea that ponies are all so bad at math that, despite being a bunch of bumbling prey animals who in show-canon are afraid of wandering bunnies, they'll up and murder somepony for trying to collect a percentage of bits. Whether or not the taxes would have been properly used or if this Celestia is too evil/stupid for that, this raises questions about how terrible and toll-ridden Equestria's infrastructure is (even without everypony in charge being incredibly dumb) that I'm excited to see if the next episode will address. How does Twilight Sparkle have an income, since this version doesn't seem like the sort of pony to charge for friendship lessons or borrowing books? How does Celestia afford to eat, for that matter, if her subjects don't think she should get anything of theirs? Are Cheerilee and Red Heart going to run expensive private education and healthcare systems, should those ponies come up at all? I can't wait to find out (whether these are ever answered or not)!

Seriously Greg, One more. JUST ONE MORE EPISODE. We need a conclusion to Mentally advanced. Something more than just a few paragraphs on tumblr. Maybe make it in the older easier to draw style just to get it done and long enough to put everything you want to put in it. You could overlap it with Luna Eclipsed and halfway through the episode branch off to the conclusion story you've been planning. Reveals and all. What's your price? Are you holding out for sexual favors? Do you do commissions? Can I pay you in DS Pokemon games? HOW MUCH DO I HAVE TO PAY TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN!?

Why is Rarity just Rainbow dash in personality and voice?

I quite like this new little series. And yes... dinosaurs are great. Secretly they didn't die to meteorites but rather they all choked on marbles.

I REALLY don't like the mouth flaps ,I missed the open mouth talking thing. It brought it's own flavor and unique aspect of the series and made it different in general. Plus it takes longer for these things to be made because of the lipflaps! It feels VERY WEIRD and doesn't look right to me, and I don't know if I can really take the MAS characters seriously with the mouth flaps. Greg, please at least do a poll or something, asking if we don't want lipflaps, I really don't recall ANYONE complaining that there was no lipflaps before. Except grammar Nazies and people who possess insignificant small genitalia.

This is so good, I like the new re-imaginings of the characters

I absolutely enjoy this so far, its cute, fun, and even still has the spirit if the meta-aware nihilistic humor I grew to love from the channel. But at the same time I think i'll miss MAS, for, being the socially unaware dolt I am, I found I had to watch MAS over and over to reveal its many stinky onion-like layers of delicious humor. While unlike an onion, the series never made me cry (ok maybe once or twice while in a delirious stooper at 4 am), it did however bring me hundreds of hours of jokes and memories I will cherish until I drive myself senile. Stay strong guys.

this is so good. the music, the animation, the drawings THE MUSICAL SCORE ABOUT TAXES! It's all wonderfully. especially how thier IQ is a little lower so they are not only still addressing real issues in a satire mannor but they are doing it in an adorable way!

Ooh! The art improveth! The mouths move! The animation bumps up! Same high-thinky multileveled commentary that you have to turn down to .75 speed and watch twice to fully appreciate. Honestly, I don't even notice the male voicing any more, it just fits now. I like. Keep the nasty gross shock humor away and I'll love. It's beneath you folks now.
