If you think police are armed to protect you, think again. Their guns are to protect them. It emerged in the reporting on this incident that the Attorney General of NJ had issued all sorts of rules about when police MAY use lethal force. There is no situation where they MUST use lethal force, not even to save this woman's life. State and federal courts have long established that the police do not owe any ordinary citizen any protection at all. All this in a "may issue" state where only retired police, those with "influence", and a very few lucky others can obtain a carry permit.

All of you complaining that police treat blacks differently are generally right. I've seen it myself .Poor and homeless as well. All of us poor people. This case should have been handled differently. What about the poor mother who gets shot how many times? She was left to die. No ambulance. Only this guy angry that she cut him loose because he was so abusive, and couldn't get a restraining order because of him above the law . Disgusting. I have seen in court similar cases. The thing I'm glad of is I'm still alive. As hard as life can be, and unfair at least we are still alive, right?
