Neptune Energy Park, Swan Hunters Neptune Yard, Wallsend 

The former Swan Hunters, Neptune Yard is now owned by Shepherd Offshore and is known as The Neptune Energy Park. It is Europe's largest offshore testing tank. All the Dry Docks except one will be filled in, one will be retained to fill with water and test equipment. The dry dock is now being used to build the foundations for Wind Turbines at sea. The 5 sleeves 3 of which are nearly ready will be floated down river and sank into the sea bed ready for the Wind Turbines to be erected.
