If a "friend" requires you to change to fit their view of life, that's not a friend. Screw them, true friends will respect who you are and the way you think, unconditionally. Think about it: you accept them and respect them for who they are, why they can't do the same for you? Are a second class human? The message itself was really inspiring! However, this story completely distorts the message. The only reason why Bethany learned to be true to herself was because she got validation from a guy she liked and just met! She didn't even listen to her best friends whom she had since elementary school. Without the validation from the guy, it begs to question of whether or not she would've been ok with being outed as a "nerd."

@Rejector he ain't an NPC, I saw him reply to someone in a video before but i don't remember which. Just because a regular person has a nice comment doesn't mean they're a bot. You can't expect there to be hate all the time and no kindness. I get there are so many other bots with kindness words but just because you see a regular person with one doesn't make them a bot like the rest. Spread love, not hate

Personally, I take being a "nerd" as a compliment. It's fun to be interested in complex topics and geeky things. People making fun of others for being a "tryhard" or "working too much/studying a lot" just shows how much effort they put in compared to the people they're making fun of. In the end, the nerds win over the "cool" kids since they're likely to be more successful in the future. :]

Just be yourself in front of everyone, if you act cool when you do other things that you are embarrassed of, you can rarely do what you want!
