Cap here.. Been playing since I was 8 years old. college and qualified AVP a few times... This Swedish team is Ahman & Hellvig (last names). They are ranked #1 in the world and favorites to win the gold at olympics. Pretty cool that they just train with some non-pros and probably smart too since they pioneered a style that includes jump setting and a lot of over-on-two hitting. Meaning, with one blocker at the net it is sometimes impossible to fully block the setter and be ready to block the third contact (normal hitter). Probably shouldn't let another pro team get too many chances to practice against you and find habits/tendencies.. Believe me or not, but as soon I would pepper (warmup back and forth) with this guy I would know by how he moves in the sand he knows beach volleyball well. Portugal has deep sand too. That's why people train there and places like Hermosa Beach (my home beach). It is also why it was tough to reach some shots when compared to some of his other videos on firmer/packed sand. He is not slow be any means, it is the deep sand. Pretty certain that the Swedes could tell he is a well trained volleyball player just by seeing any part of his form. His armswing and approach when hitting gives it away completely (that he is good) or his passing form. Though he tends to lift one leg when getting out of the way of a ball headed at his chest (I do that too, please don't serve fast floaters at my chest lol). Fun videos. Keep it up... I bet this guy has a good amount beer with the people he meets at the beach when the camera goes off. That has been my experience after crashing some novice games in my 20's. Met my wife that way actually :) I answered a flip phone (yeah I am old) while playing 6 vs 6 party beach game and guys were like who is this arrogant dude?! I dug a hit one-handed and put the ball away and then ended the call after that play. Drinks were flowing later that night with all the new friends.
