After seeing Trek pro rider Ryan Howard ( @r_doggystyles ) do this to his fuel I had to try it, especially since the Remedy mullet test earlier this season was a not a complete failure. In short it works, the bikes is a lot more fun and poppy.

how does the head angle compare to the regular fuel ? slacker or less steep

Slacked out about 1/2 degree

When you say slacker by 1/2 degree is it high 27,5 versus low 29?

Did you test it with the stock fork too?

No I had already extended it to 150 and swapped the cartridge to the Grip 2, should have though!

hi, can you do the stock fork (140 ) with the mullet & how does it ride with the normal trail ride. cheers

Im not sure how well it would work with the 140, I think the BB might be too low, even in the high position. The bike rode great on reqular XC trails but I did not take it mullet style on any big mileage rides though.

How about changing that rear shock out with a RS meg neg type. ??

I'm a fox guy not had a ton of luck with RS, I might swap to a DPX2 at some point.

Ya that’s what I was thinking too. I might go with that bike next year. I’m coming off a trek slash 29 but not racing any more so I think the fuel ex is a good bike just not that rear shock.
