True! I have now tried using a guitar strap in my newer video.

@@yeolderenaissanceensemble Yes, I have seen it. But clearly you are a total beginner for the hurdy gurdy so I recommend that you watch a bunch of videos on "how" to play it. First, playing the gurdy while standing needs a special Y strap. With a normal guitar strap you can only play the hurdy gurdy while sitting. The strap does not go over your shoulders but behind your back, just like a belt but higher (position and length as it is stable but comfortable).

@@StyriaMe Haha thank you for your feedback! I tried playing with a guitar strap several ways but it wasn’t the right length and hurt my arm holding it in an awkward position. Didn’t work behind the back very well at all though, because the strap wouldn’t go short enough. It worked okay over one shoulder as long as it would go. I really want to play standing up more comfortably, so I will be purchasing a Y-strap! Thanks again.
