Im dying for a pro RIVAL line or re release some of the old olds either og or new colors like stormtrooper and overwatch would be amazing again in stores
I would love to see a cage/motor/wheel offering for the Challenger. Would definitely be an automatic buy from me. Also a better front end that squares off the front hand grip area many with some rail for a VFG or a crooked cousin
Honestly, something about this blaster feels like something I've been aching for from a foam blaster. If anything, I hope Hasbro continues with the idea of different flywheel Rivals that could be mirrors of their Nerf counterparts
Pleasantly surprised how the inner barrel diameter matches the Perses so even with the deceptive look of N-strike carrel lug slide and twist grooves, it still mates up with the Dark Corps dual purpose mock suppressor very well.
I am definitely glad you are giving some content love to rival. I feel like there is certainly a place and home for these kinds of blasters in the hobby. I’m hoping the proton pack equipment to come back in stock soon (unless I already missed it) and I would love to hook it up to your Jupiter or Juno platform!
Great vid! I always enjoy a new nerf blaster review! Since Coop stopped I've kind of lost touch with the hobby. Btw, what happened to the fips and rating at the end?
We still include the performance numbers in our reviews, we just forgot to post it in a graphic on-screen. As for our rating, we felt our biases as a business that sells blasters made a rating system less valuable to viewers.
I'm unsure if I will get one, but a few years ago, I definitely would have been all over this. It has a much better form factor than the Hera did. I'm curious about the upcoming Mirage too. I haven't been entirely happy with any of the RIVAL sidearms for one reason or another, but the Mirage shows promise if the stock can be sawed off.
3:35 Worker Rival Mag we really just need to forget that thing exists. works with like... ?two? very old blasters and nothing else don't even bother restocking them, 3 more rounds than the official ones isn't worth the trouble. -any time someone new to Rival wants to stock up on mags and I have to warn them, "Stop! Not that mag, it won't work."
They're higher quality and more readily available than the Nerf brand rival mags, and we've already sold a bunch to use with Juno. The fact that it works in the Challenger with little to no modification required is a bonus.
@@outofdarts Quality and availability doesn't matter if it doesn't work in Most Blasters. As proud as you are of your creation, Juno does not represent a majority of blasters that people use. I think Worker needs to do a 2.0 Update on that magazine to fix compatibility issues so it can see more General Use; pretending that its Just Awesome As Is doesn't encourage that possibility.
That would be cool but Rival at that FPS doesn’t go any further and is wildly inaccurate 110-120FPS is the best most accurate Rival Ammo should be going. ROF and capacity is where Rival shine
@@alexandermacphearson4379I also feel like what rival excels at is indoor games, since they aren't as good outside since they lack the range of other blasters and the wind destroys accuracy. But inside it's perfect for people who want power and accuracy without having to mod and even outperforms a lot of stock blasters, even ones like the villainator. Sure it's not as good as pro blasters but since those shoot too hard for indoor/cqb rival is probably the best option
@@bigdapramirez6157 Rival in general (Springers or Flywheel) tends to be ineffective at around 120fps and above Rival is great for indoor or outdoors but what it excelled at is capacity and overwhelming firepower with the hopper blasters. I love this design and the Hera before it, but the Perses/Nemesis/Prometheus perfected Rival’s ability in games
They ruined the rival line, went back to making gimmick blasters. Nerf has no clue what direction they want to go in. They still haven't learned from years of mistakes, miss opportunities, and just dropping the ball far too often
