Watching Bob on stage later in my life was a piece of Americana . The man was more then a game show host he was a dream maker for a lot of folks across America.

I loved this show back then. Bob was a class act and so natural. I wanted to be just like Johnny Olson. The people in the audience dressed in nice clothes not sweat pants. Sigh ... the bygone days.

@Peter Walker it’s so funny because a lot times I watch old shows or movies and involuntarily many times I think,so sad most of those people are not here with us anymore…and then one we’ll be gone too…such as life,…especially now when everything is so hard and sad with thud horrible virus….And yes,Bob is still alive.

If that was Brian in the mid 90s he'd give back that $5,000. The gambling man won $10,000 on the very next punch after his wife and audience yelled at him to keep it and he said "If you're scared get a dog! I'm going for It!

What would you do if you had $5000?Keep it or try for $10,000.?If it were me,I'd stop with $5,000.Worst amount would be $50.No guarantee you'll win $10,000 or on others $25,000.

I was a fan of this show until I realized that they handpicked people from the audience to come on their show. Instead of leaving it up to chance and giving anybody a shot who's in the audience.
