NERx Digital Magazine Presentation 3-23-2022 

Hi Ralph, the digital magazine will be issued to all members. Giving away the magazine to non-members is unfair to paying members and will reduce the number of new members, as they would already be receiving a member benefit for free. We will have a free issue available to non-members so they can try it.

@@NMRAORGModelRailroading I thought the issue was behind a paywall where only paying members can view it for free as part of their membership! If your worried about non-members getting it for free and you said the paper copy is not going away, try putting it on a news stand for non-members to buy. When I got my paper copies I always gave them to prospective members or even my doctors office for reading material.

​@@ralphrenzetti22 Then perhaps I misunderstood your original comment. Then digital issues will only be available to paying members through either the app or member website and will not be sharable. What people decide to do with their paper copy is up to them and we don't discourage sharing that with others. The difference is a paying member handing off a paper copy to a non-member versus sending the digital version to numerous non-members every month. As I stated, we will have a sample digital version available to non-members, but we have no current plans to put the paper version on news stands. Getting something like that set up is complicated, extremely time-consuming and will add costs that we don't know whether or not we'll recover through new memberships and/or sales.
