and I also remember the incredible sensation of seeing the quinjet rising above the map and rushing towards The Colony for the first time. that was so awesome! I knew I was close to the end.

Wow! Talk about a "Your princess is in another castle" moment! It seems that Mandarin is the Dragon after all!

i remember this being so addictive for me and some of my friends that we were learning some of the lines used in the game.We struggled to find a good method of beating mandarin(wich should be top boss here in our oppinion)and when i revealed the secret of defeating him they were like- omg omg omg finnaly!!!!took us some weeks to find the weak spots.

I've finished lots of hard NES games in my life but that Mandarin guy,with the rings,at the Avengers Park.He was the reason why I didn't finish this game.I was so excited and scared while fighting with him I thought my heart was going out from my throat.I tried to beat him with Captain America.And he wasn't even at full power.Can you imagine?Even after that I tried to beat him 3 or 4 times :( I was probably 11 or 12 :(

oooo i remember trying to avoid the alerts on map.And when i had no choice i always prayed-oh god let it be just normal soldiers ..no mini boss!!Things back then were great.Now as i grew up i wish i could turn back the hands of time to feel that thrill again........

Well, it's not actually a glitch. I've realized and used this a long time a go, I was actually a kid. Notice that when I jump from the moving platform Cap doesn't do that rotating flip in the air. This is intentional. It depends on the duration used when pressing button B. It's sort of like a small jump. If you use it then, the image doesn't scroll all the way up, so the small red alert boss doesn't spawn.

i am 28 now i was 15 back then.....damn i had problems with that mini boss.hated him sooo much.he always managed to cause some damage when he was burstin into flames as he died.yet the most fascinating thing for me was playing as Ultron in player vs player mode.since then i have not found another game to give me the opportunity to play as my favourite villain.

OMG, trying to kill Mandarin with Captain America tough enough, but him not being at full power is pure suicide. I didn't have so much trouble with him though, as I tried to stick to my strategy - every boss, except Red Skull, killed with Hawkeye. I personally think that boss number 6 from Blaster Master is much tougher, as he is highly more unpredictable.

hell yea bro!that was the true challenge!trying to make everything perfect so u wont lose one of the characters,tryin to make it with more life circles so you can face them!loved those days and i miss em so much now.......

6:36--7 : 00 map has a glitch.If u land on big platform and you do not let a small space to be seen under platform the game will spawn a flame thrower mini boss.

Yeah, tell me about it! I remembered he killed me a lot and it was so annoying I had to backtrack and save the character then go back to Mandarin, getting my ass whooped, oh man....those were the days :)

@MaFeLikEmE I didn't need any diamonds. My power was all maxed out. I did that at the very beginning of the game just so I wouldn't have to search anymore. That's the whole advantage of powering up in the beginning :))

Best players beat all game in 15 minutes but your walkthrough is real good because I speak 'bout TAS (Tool-Assisted Speedruns) before.

Me lembro que eu tinha esse jogo no tempo da minha infância que era o ''turbo game'' nunca cheguei a terminar,só cheguei a derrotar o primeiro chefe e nesses dias tava pensando nesse game até que tive curiosidade de ver se tinha aqui no you tube e também ver o final do game.

I'm 30 so you're not that old :)) I've finished more than 120 NES games and I can say I haven't come across a more challenging and addictive player vs. player mode. You know there are emulators that allow users to simultaneously play the same game over the internet That mini boss can be a bit of a headache, but he is pretty predictable. Run like the wind when you see flames :))

well, if you wanna "feel that thrill" get a PS3. I know it's not the same, but I feel part of that sensation every day :D

if you use an emulator it's even better. you can save the game just before the fight starts and, in case you die, load the save state. a couple of tries should do it :)

@MaFeLikEmE Actually you can. all you need is an emulator ( approx. 600 KB) and the .nes file of the game (approx. 150 KB). PM me if you want details.

around 6:30 - 6:34 you were careful not to scroll the screen up too much, I see what you did there ;)

don't say that! he is a tough cookie indeed. but he is pretty predictable once you get the hang of his moves. try again...you'll get him for sure!

well you could say that, but do it a few times anyway. you'll master the whole fight and then start the game from the beginning and do it in one go if you really want to. I bet that after killing him 5 or 6 times in a row it wont feel like cheating anymore :D

@81cronos81 search for speedrun of this game on youtube and you'll see. It's impossible without tool-assisting.
