still is regarded as one of the best in the NES series. To this date, it stirs the debate as to which NES Mega Man game reigns supreme and it's always been between Mega Man 2 and Mega Man 3. No matter which game was your favorite, this one had a lot of fans and brought a lot of good memories to those gamers who were fortunate enough.
@@RetroArt216204 No. Mega Man 2 has much easier level designs except for Quick Man's stage, and the weapons are broken. Especially Metal Blade. Add in E Tanks, utility items like the Jet Sled (2) and passwords, and you have the second easiest game in the series. 4 is the easiest, since it adds a powerful Charge Shot, and you can reenter Skull Man's stage for 3 E tanks each run, stocking up to the max 9 quickly and easily.
One of my first Mega Man games (along with 7, X, and 10). I'll never forget when I first beat Mega Man 2 and became a fan ever since. Those were such good times.
This special weapons he used in Mega Man 2 are Air Shooter (Up Air Attack) Metal Blade (Standard Special) Crash Bomber (Side Special) and Leaf Shield (Down Special).
My stepmother's younger cousin came over and got me into this game in 1990 and I fell in love with it. It got me started in the whole mega Man series. Okay this is back in 1990 and the graphics just blew me away. I couldn't believe the Nintendo an 8 bit system could handle this. Then the following year in 1991 my friend up the block let me play and borrow mega Man 3 and from that point on I was instantly hooked. I mean how many mega mans for Nintendo are there about seven or eight?
The order of robot masters I go after: 1. Flash Man 2. Metal Man 3. Wood Man 4. Bubble Man 5. Air Man 6. Heat Man 7. Quick Man 8. Crash Man And finally to Wily.
My favorite is Mega Man 3. The music for Mega 2 and 3 considered a tie in my opinion for good music soundtracks. I feel that Mega 4 is underrated. It has two evil doctors alone. Mega 5 = strange. Mega 6=Last of NES. Mega One = there wouldn't be any without the first.

Ogreretsu Kun, real name Takashi Tateshi, who also composed the soundtracks for LED Storm (aka Mad Gear) and the arcade version of Willow, as well as the music in Stage 3 of the arcade version of Area 88 (I REFUSE to refer to it as UN Squadron).
The first two bosses had me thinking this is another one of those "Mega Buster Only" runs that is mislabeled as a proper longplay. Glad to have been proven wrong. Very enjoyable.
Every time I beat this game I always wondered why Mega Man's helmet was seen on the ground at 37:02. It made me wonder if he melted in the ground and only his helmet didn't melt or if he littered his helmet on the ground feeling that he doesn't need it anymore.
I’m way too young to have memories of this on the nes. However, I was introduced to many old game series through the virtual console on 3ds and Wii. You know a game stands the test of time when someone only used to new games loves every moment playing one of these games. The mega man series rocks.
If you wanna have the correct NES feeling and speed = just watch the video with the 0.75x speed! (Okay the good old NES was maybe more like the 0.8x speed - but here on YT is only 0.75x speed available!)
i always used to wonder how Wiley could always afford a new castle every game.......and which construction company he hired. He mustve been a multi-trillionaire.
@@Ragitsu wheres his factory at? it shows the maverick factory in megaman x2. Im such a nerd, i used to LOVE these games growing up. I never seen where he built all these dudes. But, thatd still be a hell of an operation, and cost tons of money either way. I used to wonder what happened to some of his older castles that didnt get ruined. Maybe he put them up for sale, with century 21 or remax. 🤣🤣
@@chadkarr7394 "I used to wonder what happened to some of his older castles that didnt get ruined. Maybe he put them up for sale, with century 21 or remax. 🤣🤣" You reminded me of a comment from a Mega Man 4 race. "Dude, what is this?! ... "Doctor Wily's castle? What? How many...how many things of real estate does this ***hole own?
Wily has used some of his robot masters to make money before being sent out to fight Megaman in some games. Crystal Man was used to help make and sell counterfeit gems to make a bunch of money for Wily's plans in Megaman 5. I bet some of these guys were probably being used to snatch money for Wily's plans in some way
Cool the only thing, i was in 2, was the music in the mega man game's, & each boss that you had 2 verse, my brother would always, play this but now, he won't touch video game's, any more that's sad, the Old Video Game's will alway's be the Best One's:-) :-). Keep Up the Good work Ricky C, None as Cubex55 World of Longplay's:-) :-)................
Watching this vid made me thing of an advice from Homer Simpson: “No matter how good you are at something, there's always about a million people better than you.”
Same, but now we have Candy Crush, which is just Bejewled but more popular somehow, Geometry Dash, which is just The Inpossible Game but like I said, more popular somehow, Fortnite, Clicker Games...something must have went wrong from the transition from the 20th century to the 21st.
Why does it have to be so hard to watch a longplay video of an old game without having fuckhead hipsters like you in the comment section complain that more modern games are less ”creative”
The best mega man year 200x ha let's go with 2009 but seriously anyone else agree some of these midis be awesome metal riffs??the midi for dr Willys first level my bro used to always play that on guitar what a riff!!!! Dude u know this game and take chances ha love ur channel subbed who woulda thought metal for bubble man I used metal for woodman damn u killed woodman fast the last level was the easiest!!!
some people would consider this as a quick play, but I do not I consider it a longplay still, it's the fact that MontyMole didn't bother to do the levels correctly he just took the easiest way out, however I still liked it, and for me for a longplay to be a longplay the video has to be at least 20 minutes or longer. So this was definitely a longplay.
I beat all 8 of the mans. I would say the easiest to beat is flashman, he barely drained my energy bar. Then it would be airman, then bubbleman, then quickman, then woodman, then metalman, then heatman, and the hardest to me is crashman. It's one of my favorite nes games. I'm starting a retro video game collection.
This might be a TAS and all that jazz... But going after BOTH Airman and Quickman first and without their weaknesses... Boy that sure takes a lot of cojones. Sir, you earned my respect there ^^
I didn't realize he did it on difficult, to tell the truth I didn't realize that there was more than one mode, after seeing your comment here I looked at the beginning of the vid again and wow I am really surprised that there was a difficulty setting, because Mega Man games usually don't have a difficulty setting
For me the best MM: -Best Music -Best Leveldesign -Best Endbosses -Best Ending I just love it! Only 2 things which need to be changed: Metal Man weapon to strong! And Item2 makes some things to easy! But its Time for Capcom comin up with Mega Man All Stars! From MM1 - MM10 every Robot. With a little Map like Mario 3 (NES). That would be nice
In my opinion this game is somewhat hard. It took me at least an hour to all 8 of the mans. The stages are harder than the bosses themselves. But an amazing game nonetheless.
