Today on news there was this 85 yr old man who says he finished over 500 full games 🎮 he was in living room wirh big screen he started about 1997 i think he said. Wow march 21 2021.
I'm getting all nervous watching this and feeling like a kid again when you get that yellow sub. Sure it's awesome, but you only get to use it for a short duration bc it's only a matter of time before you get tagged by a jellyfish. And when your in the shallow water with that thing, or even as a diver staying away from those jellyfish is a bitch. Never beat it though. Still have it and many more plus the platform in my basement.
When I was about 8, my brother and I had played it for some time, but couldn't figure out how the ending scene works. No idea what we were supposed to do. Then, by accident, I killed the Shark. Still remember being so excited about it. I don't remember finishing any other NES game with such clarity. No idea why.
It's funny how you have to exterminate the entire sea fauna, as if they're allies of Jaws. Also.... did the plane at the end enter hyperspace? O_O Anyway, +1!
This game brings back great memories, i was the first of my family to ever finish this game, and to this day im the only one of us to have finished it, though i still look for great nes games to play and most of them either dont play games anymore, or they are all trying to play the modern games, very few play any games like this anymore
Realistically, all you need to say is "It's an NES game published by Acclaim." We'll understand. (For those who don't know, LJN was a name Acclaim used to get around Nintendo's rules limiting the number of games a publisher could release each year. See also: Konami and Ultra.)
@Senic509 it really was a fun game back in the day, still is to me anyway. Try not to take AVGN seriously, he's just doing it for the ratings. These old games were indeed fun to us who grew up with them.
True I enjoyed some but the Back To The Future NES game I though was absolute shit, I grew up in the 80s and BTTF was my favorite film and I bought the game since I thought it would be like the movie but it wasn’t at all
The movie added to my fear of the water and sharks. To this day I still worry about going into large bodies of water. This game did not have that effect on me; in fact it didn't do much of anything for me.
As a kid as well as today, I'm amazed that almost no one seems to know that you can slow down and speed up the plane in the bonus stages. Doing so can make it so much easier to hit more targets.
a controller with a turbo button made this game insanely easy. I had one where it fired so fast I all but locked up jaws on a single pass and got his health down to nothing on one pass. Of course the other turbo button was no where near as fast.
Jaws the game: Vengeance upon Jellyfishes and Manta Rays. For a half-baked LJN cookie, this one wasn't as bad as others. Of course, it is still bad, as in "what if Monster Hunter had a Chinese ripoff downgraded to NES?" way.
I only played this game once or twice back in the day, and I guess that's why it was awesome to me. The mini-sub was cool, and the tension I felt when "you hit jaws!" is memorable. That said, I'd never want to play it ever again. Thanks for finishing it so I don't have to!
I remember playing my first LJN Game Jaws when I was a 13 years old since 2014 is based on the 4th movie Jaws 4 The Revenge. That I seen thos game when I was 11 year old child since 2012
My friend and I beat this game 20 minutes after inserting it into the system, after travelling 6hrs to and from the city to buy it. The funny thing is that we couldn't figure out how to correctly stab the shark again for many months. We kept trying to stab with the shark right at the front of the boat rather than further back.
I remember when my family got this game as a kid and my older brother was the only one who got to play it. We're still hoping he'll come out of his coma soon
Game was a love hate thing. its one of those "nothing else to play games after you let your friends hold your best games" but you played the shit anyway lol
kind of a boring game, keep shooting the same stuff over and over to get shells then go back and forth to the same two ports until you are strong enough to kill jaws. oh well better than watching golf
This game's quite fun despite its simplicity. Least its a lot better than the movie. We all know this game was based off the... 4th movie I think it was, right? The Revenge? Ugh...
I have this game on my phone also. I've played it for almost 35 to 40 minutes into the game. Jaws Unleash is better than this boring game. Jaws Unleash is a good game to play. Jaws the nes version is boring.
Although the game didn't sell enough copies and it was one of worst games to ever hit the NES, it was still based on all four Jaws movies (all of which we own on DVD): the Steven Spielberg-directed Jaws, the even-more successful Jaws 2, the Alan Landsburg-produced Jaws 3-D (which didn't follow the story of the first two movies) and Jaws: The Revenge, making this game a cult classic, and THIS TIME IT'S PERSONAL!
Action 52 was easily the worst NES game yet this game was really boring and I never completed it. It collected dust constantly in my collection. You could get half a centimeter and hit something again like seriously lol it got old quickly.
While this is a pretty boring game, it is not nearly as bad as some other LJN games. This actually reminds me of a Space Shooter. Especially the Bonus Stages for this game. At least it's better than Action 52.
I loved this game. I beat it without leveling up like crazy...but it became more fun to level up to power level 9 and so on and contend with the PVE RNG
that's the most boring interesting jaws game the ps2 version better but you gotta love Nes because there the best childhood game's.I'm still buying this game into my gaming room collection.
