I remember seeing this for the first time as a teenager in the 80s. It looked so new and modern. Seeing it again 37 years later and it still feels fresh 😊
Why can't today's commercials be like this anymore? Everything today is so fake, heartless and cheap. And I write this as a person who never experienced the 80s.
Totally remember this commercial! This commercial was definitely shown during the summer, but still I like the pairing of the music with the Alpine White candy bar. I did however like this line of candy bar, because it was a break from Nestle Crunch. Thanks for the trip down memory lane 👍🏾
This was the original Nestle's "Sweet Dreams" commercial that was launched in the summer of 1985... I also recall meeting one of the actual "candle dancers" at the commercial beginning, somewhere in NYC around a decade later... Can't remember her name, though... The _"Alpine White"_ version came out later in the same year ('85)...
Nestle Alpine White was THE way to produce a mass-market white chocolate candy bar! The thing was great! Many years after it was gone, Nestle brought out a white chocolate Nestle Crunch which was absolutely awful! Not only did It taste disgusting, the "white" chocolate had an orange tinge to it which was just plain revolting in appearance! How could Nestle have ever produced a piece of garbage like the white crunch bar after having produced and then cancelling a great product like the Alpine White?!
Sweet dreams you can't resist. N-E-S-T-L-É-S. Chocolate made of this. N-E-S-T-L-É-S. Smooth, smooth. Smooth rich. Nestlés makes the very best. N-E-S-T-L-É-S. Sweet dreams you can't resist.
I think its: Sweet dreams you can't resist. N-E-S-T-L-É is.... Chocolate made of this. N-E-S-T-L-É is... Smooth, smooth. Smooth rich. Nestlés makes the very best. N-E-S-T-L-É is... Sweet dreams you can't resist.
This is a mandela effect because the bar and company name has ALWAYS been Nestle and in this reality has never had an S on the end, so the song lyrics make no sense including an S. Strange times..
Hilariously, the company seems to have added an “s” to its name for this series of “Sweet Dreams” theme songs simply so that “N-e-s-t-l-é-s” would rhyme with “Sweet Dreams you can’t resist” and other such lines. Or the “s” could just denote plurality.
@@ibelieveicansoar That's not true AT ALL. The song has gone N-e-s-t-l-e-s since the 50's, with an actual puppet that used to end the song by snapping his mouth shut. Look up "Nestles chocolate dog commercial" before you spout facts you've made up yourself.
@@ibelieveicansoar I think maybe its: Sweet dreams you can't resist. N-E-S-T-L-É is.... Chocolate made of this. N-E-S-T-L-É is... Smooth, smooth. Smooth rich. Nestlés makes the very best. N-E-S-T-L-É is... Sweet dreams you can't resist.
@maxmercury I think its: Sweet dreams you can't resist. N-E-S-T-L-É is.... Chocolate made of this. N-E-S-T-L-É is... Smooth, smooth. Smooth rich. Nestlés makes the very best. N-E-S-T-L-É is... Sweet dreams you can't resist.
The 80's - when people weren't fake woke twitter retards hyped up on collage dictatorship that cry for attention because they think that their miserable little stupid pathetic lives mean anything.
