I can imagine me doing that in a desperate situation, and that remember me about roronoa zoro from one piece, he's totally bad ass, however really distracted. sorry my english
I mean he is smart combat wise when it comes to fighting certain creatures of the night but outside of that he can be quite dumb but still be enjoyable to be around. Lol
@@CamSiv996 Didn't you hear, Cameron? Any semblance of friendship between men is now code for "they want to fuck". We're clearly just not capable of emotional complexity and depth.
@@devilmayclarify666 Alucard is mocking Trevor's ancestors fascination with magic and probably their poor taste in choice of magic. And it sounds stupid. I mean imagine some guy going "Open! Magical Door of Death" only to open to the basement of your house.
@@SilentSongXIII That's a stretch. It's one word. It could've been a warning or a rune, like an element that results in death. Also, there is no indication that Alucard thought it was a poor choice of magic nor that "Death" sounded stupid. It seems like Alucard was talking like using "Death" was a stereotypical thing, which is fucking weird, because it's the middle ages -- once again, it's a stretch. To me, the joke is an example of the awkward exchanges between Trevor and Alucard in general (although not all were awkward), like the writers took dialogue from two weird, unlikable people in the real world and implanted it into the characters.... I'm trying to understand this. May I ask if you're below the age of 25?
Well, SotN takes place like 500 years after the events of castlevania 3; which is what this anime covers. I imagine in that time Alucard matures and becomes more stoic.
@@charcharb.2833 I love childish Alucard, too. His banter with Trevor is very entertaining. Season 2 does end with him grieving alone in the castle. I'm curious to see how much he changes if and when season 3 comes out.
@@ChubbsRN I also love childish Alucard I was caught off guard by it though. It broke my heart when he was crying. Do you think they will show Grant if there is another season? I was curious to see what he would look like but he wasn't in this season.
I'd say the three play off eachother more like the trio in samurai champloo than in Berserk. Sypha and Alucard look like Casca and Griffith but trevor looks like a european mugen.
@@EricAndStuff Richter should be Josuke actually, don't you think? I'd go: Jonathan-Leon Joseph-Trevor Jotaro-Simon Josuke-Richter Fits really well tbh.
DM: Ok, so you can’t seem to find a way to board up the door. furthermore, it appears the door opens outward of the room you’re in, thus making it pointless to do so even if you had succeeded.
Trevor: Ranger/Bloodhunter, Hunter or Ghostslayer respectively, using a whip of course Sypha: Wizard, School of Evocation Alucard: Fighter, Eldritch Knight subclass (The class has an ability that's very similar to Alucard's teleporting.)
@@madmouse1016 definitely. Try asking a foreign viewer and I'll bet you that they would understand what humping means while having no fucking idea that frolicking is even a word
Everyone talking about the bromance, but really, Trevors wood plank scene really goes to show that he may not be exactly sober at all during all of this and might not remember anything that happened and might wake up someday, with a son, and without his Belmont house and be like ''what the fuck happened here and who are you people?''
All is well until he wake up on a wagon, hands tied. "Hey you. You're awake. You're trying to cross the border, right? Walked into that imperial ambush, same as us, and that thief over there."
@@robonaught not necessarily. A grandson IS a descendant of course but RTX may have meant he goes further down the bloodline so he may be a great great, etc grandchild
Orcaluv26 Okay, chase something that looks like the road runner, fall off the Grand Canyon, become a cartoon pancake, survive, and tell us how it was. Me, I’ll practice slamming my head on an anvil... I’m trying to be funny...
Kinda reminded me the scene from Big Lebowski when he fortified the doors but it opens the other direction xD. This one just did not have delayed punch line but had multiple funny segments.
The humor in this show is just perfect. When you're self-aware of the ridiculous adventure you're undertaking, and have very little else left in the world of interest- having a chuckle at the magical door of death really is appropriate. Banter and sarcasm have been coping mechanisms since...well, since ever.
I heard the humor was a bit jarring here because it's "out-of-place" I haven't even watched the episodes myself, but these scenes are pretty fucking hilarious if isolated lmao.
Trust me, I've seen the episodes myself and they didn't feel out of place to me at all. The show is serious when it needs to be and humorous when it can afford it.
Nah, it's pretty alright. Yeah, one may say that the show's supposed to be serious and so comedy doesn't fit here, however this feels more like cinematic humor rather than the cartoon humor you usually see in animation. The characters never act over the top or make funny faces, they just tease each other and have some banters, like how you would see a drama or action movie/tv show handle it's humor.
In the realm of the show, these humorous lines are literally a masterclass in expert pacing. The writers knew exactly when to place their jokes, as to avoid undermining the general atmosphere of the show.
Look up Warren Ellis. I am so pissed that I was within 10 feet of the man, and most of the cast, at NYCC this past year and wasn't able to get a photo or autograph.
As snarky and as awesome as Alucard can be, I also feel really sorry for him. He had a pretty decent dad; despite being an undead sorcerer, Dracula actually cared about his family. So much so that betrayal at the hands of humanity, resulting in his wife's death, killed him inside and prompted him to take as many people down with him as he could. What I find most distressing about Alucard is that it's not like his father was abusive, but what may be equally tragic, if not worse, is seeing someone you loved change into someone you had to oppose. Seeing this devil may cry in the end makes me just wanna give him a big hug and let cry into my shoulder.
"It's the Magical Door of Death, Belmont!" That line cracks me up. Also I love how Syfa just slides over to Trevor when he mentions his namesake being, "Trefor".
0:00-0:07 Trevor-Ralph C. Belmont. Vampire Hunter Extraordinaire, Slayer of Dark Lords, Bane of the Night... and a complete washout of a motivational speaker. Hope he doesn't give eulogies for a living.
“I discovered an entire book of spells about...penises” “You’re certain it was one of his ancestors?” HE CALLED HIM GAY (It’s even worse because they’re my OT3)
The two really shared a bond instantly. But they are reminded everytime of their mission and history. Alucard get to see a baby vampire skull in Trevor's family basement and Trevor get to see his family get killed despite doing humanity favour. When the two merely know each other they simply banter but they respect the other's abilities. They were just "slaves of their families' wishes".
I love the delivery by the voice actor, they sound so casual. Like they’re not TRYING to voice a character but ARE the character, ya’know? It makes them feel more real!
Look forward to a challenge, friend. And a series that, while not aiming to be silly... outside of Boku Dracula Kun/Kid Dracula... takes itself so seriously that the manual for three has a picture of fanged dentures in a glass of water.
