I tried to leave Netflix on my phone and apparently it was like an automated payment thing that you also have to get rid of like a canceled my subscription but there's automatic re-sign up for subscription that you need to go on their online website to get rid of
@@SoraNX97 i mean "Netflix forgot, their services are replaceable" or "Netflix forgot that their services aren't replaceable" well yeah the 2nd one is what the comment meant but still
It’s full circle. Cable companies were greedy - people pirated. Streaming comes out as a way to watch anything legally and combat pirating. People leaned in, pirating went down. Corporations got greedy and fractured streaming into 3000000 apps based on licensing. People stop streaming and…
I’m surprised they don’t actually enforce laws against piracy. Hell, it seems that it’s technically not illegal at all to download stuff as long as you don’t seed it
Netflix is the personification of you either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain. Blockbuster wouldn't have become this evil.
“If paying isn’t owning” … You realize you’re paying for a subscription, right? You’re not *buying* anything from Netflix. You *pay* for a lot of stuff that you will never own on a daily basis. BTW, the quote is “If buying isn’t owning”.
@@DavyHaller Yes, I know what OP meant. If your *best* argument against what I said is that it’s “semantics”, then I guess I was correct in my statements. My point still stands. OPs comment is completely irrelevant in a conversation about a streaming service.
What? That would mean no one would ever be able to stop selling their service if they had even one customer?? Your contract lasts a month, as long as they give you the service for that full month, they can end the service - you probably also agreed to early termination causes where they simply refund you pro rata
@@CorrosiveCitrus No, thats exactly the issue; They _arent_ fulfilling the whole month. They are locking customers out in the middle of the month, until they upgrade. _that_ us the issue
Fr imma start pirating adobe shit and all my fav movies on a vm so I don’t have to deal with malware and I can use them (I ain’t paying for a windows key either I’m spending an hour putting in random codes until it works)
@@toulousegoose1150 There is software out there that will copy the DVD contents on to a thumb drive. From there, you can play it anywhere you want, and since you likely paid for the DVD, you can do it guilt-free.
@@protoni6996no it's not people that are the problem, it's the greedy predatory tactics they put up. Some people just don't have time and are too busy.
@@Userf384gwthat and their monopolies. YT is king because google buries all of the other alternatives, many companies pay them to do that with their competition too
As I've been saying since the whole "cord-cutting" thing started being a thing: "Did you think those companies were going to just let all that money just WALK AWAY?!? Just let other people eat what they consider THEIR LUNCH? *_HELL NO!_* As soon as the bleeding becomes more expensive than the band-aids, then they're going come after streaming!" And so they are. Damn, I _hate_ always being right about the wrong things...
probably one of the only reasons the government barely has any laws against piracy and they dont even enforce the ones they DO have. half the government pirates!
I love how big companies would do anything nowadays to get your money it’s getting to the point where people don’t wanna buy anything because they can’t afford anything and if they could eventually it’s gonna go up in price regardless of what we want
@soapgaming4903 yeah but we paid to have an acceptable viewing experience. Being bothered every few months by them forcing us to pay more or degrade our experience isn't acceptable.
They’re 100% getting sued because those people forced to upgrade are actually locked out of their account until they pay, even before their current term that THEY ALREADY PAID FOR is over.
this is why pirating will never die and will always be the best way to watch whatever you want(basically ever movie or tv show you could ever think of has been pirated)
there are literally tens of millions of us, it would be VERY easy to have some of the worst of these corporations begging on their knees if we played our cards right
We’d never be able to organize a boycott on that scale, and a large majority of people simply won’t do it because they don’t like being inconvenienced. I’m with ya 100% but the average person isnt
@@dandy6191capitalism is not the problem per se. Its poor management and bad business practices. Gradual company evolution? Nah we eill just make sure we earn all money right now and then when we cannot show bigger earnings will be forced to adopt sketchy practices. There are plenty of examples where management knows what they need to do and have a clear business vision, but in this case it is PURE greed. Capitalism makes terrible humans more terrible.
@@TheDude2111Piracy: The ironic response towards corporate greed (Reason for it being ironic is because in the origins of piracy before the internet became a thing, pirates were plundering with greed being the main factor, and in the modern day version of piracy, it's become a response TOWARDS greed)
Nah I'm just gonna get back into Piracy and I'm teaching my kids how. This stupid shit is ridiculous and the others will learn as soon as Netflix goes bankrupt
RU-vid premium now has a feature that detects sponsored segments and lets you skip them with one click. Inb4 they make them unskippable for everyone else.
It's the beginning of the end, I remember when streaming first started and the whole idea was you didn't have to pay $150 plus for cable or satellite. Just a small fee every month. I'm waiting till the prices jump to cable and satellite prices 😅
Netflix is still alive because it was convenient and cheap. Now it’ll just be convenient and definitely will push people back to those bootleg websites
Oh I use such a site myself, has pretty much most of the major steaming platforms content in it too, along with plenty of movies, old and newly released.
Unfortunately, not everyone knows how to sail the high seas. Even then, I think the US has tight leash on it. ISP can track you down when you are donwloading or streaming in a illegal site. That's why you see a lot of VPN sponsorship in your favorite youtubers.
The thing is... i have been thru like a dozen of these websites and a lot of them have buffering issues or sometimes the movies/shows outright do not play at all. I think the buffering ironically may be due to the overload of users flocking from Netflix to these sites.
Wealth, fame, power. Gold Roger, the King of the Pirates, attained everything this world has to offer. And so, many men head for the Grand Line to find the great treasure he left behind, the One Piece. The world has truly entered a Great Pirate Era!
They don't know how to conserve their budget anymore. Netflix especially is greenlighting a lot of trash, or cancelling series/movies that might actually turn a profit.
Netflix hasn’t made money since streaming started.. it cost money to make all those movies. The money to pay your employees. Will they last idk but as long as the convenience is there it will still be living for years. And streaming packages for 10 sites will become the next cable
Capitalism demands ever increasing profits. They would rather destroy the company and then start a new one than stagnate. Even if the profit margin is very lucrative, when the number doesn't go up the investor class can't trade the stocks back and forth among themselves to amass their unearned fortunes.
@@juang5424it won’t if they keep adding stuff like this it’ll be gone quick. Expenses are up and wages aren’t people are going to started getting rid of stuff like this. And they have made money their profit is in the millions, they just want to be greedy and get more profit additionally they are HOERIBLE at making motives and tv shows and picking which ones continue. EVERY time there is a show people really like they cancel it in favor of renewing the literal cr*priest tv show no one is watching or will ever watch. They don’t even make the vast majority of it, they make like 10% max. And it always has a “Netflix” ending where it doesn’t make sense or the plot is unfafilled or just ends weird.
Isn’t this super similar to what Blockbuster did, since they were pretty much the only choice for movies and shows? Remember how Netflix put those guys out of business?
I like how netflix is becoming what it was meant to destroy. “You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.” clearly netflix is going for the Supervillain path
These media companies need to make money to justify the high costs of creating these movies or shows you love, well movies not as much box office and such
You want my movies? You can have it! I left everything I gathered together in one place! Now you just have to find it! Thus triggered the golden age of pirates
Even many indie developers support pirating their games, because they put the games out for people to enjoy, and it still gets more people playing. Most of the games I pirated in the past I ended up buying later. Many people who care about their art believe that art shouldn’t have a paywall, but an option to financially support. I agree piracy is a victimless crime. Maybe it’s stealing, but not any worse than shoplifting baby formula. Listen to weird al’s “don’t download this song” if you want the opinion of someone in the position of having his songs pirated. He makes it very clear that piracy does not hurt big artists in any substantial way.
@@soapgaming4903 piracy is not stealing; It might be a crime or not depending on where you live, but even if it, it's not the same crime. Except if by piracy you mean robbing ships; then, and only then, piracy is stealing.
