I love it when you finally find someone who can: Fully explain the subject, Not get too much in depth, but explains where problems may occur And the biggest thing is not talking like Speedy Gonzales throughout the video. I only needed to see how to take it apart and put the WPS Button back in place AND put it back together. One stop shop! Good job!

DD-WRT Build 29837 webflash is working for this router. Its below the required size. I upgraded from 18777 and it's much better. Just a heads up.

I'm tempted to replace the internal antennas with some homemade ones. I just made a cloverleaf, I wonder how well it would improve the range

Richard Lloyd I actually replaced them. I did get a little bit better range, but I actually got a higher bandwidth

Richard Lloyd I used cloverleaf antennas. There is actually a guy on RU-vid that shows you how to make many different types of antennas. He usually does 2.4 ghz or 5 ghz.

What did you replace the with? What are the connectors on the board called? I have tried U.FL but the ones i have dont seem to fit. They should just click in, these dont. I Just realised i have WN2000RPT

I watch these videos to figure out what wifi actually is other then an invisible force that i cant see im curious how its made or if the router is what makes it altho i feel like its just a smart antenna

When I'm putting password for WiFi it saving but when I off the router password is not saving again I have to login to router page and set the password please help me

I opened the case and attached a USB to serial adapter (CP201x UART). Dang those torx heads are tiny! I think "T6" was needed. So through serial, advanced recovery and firmware loading can be done like people say in the wiki and forums of the www.openwrt.org site. PuTTY terminal connected to COM port works nicely. Able to view the pic? Repair was unnecessary. I added the serial-usb adapter for diagnostics now and it may be useful for some kinda firmware repair or update later. This serial adapter is absolutely useful on some Linksys routers that are dumb about using tftp unbrick repair. I wish I could load Tomato or OpenWrt, but I think those fw's are incompatible with this router and other Atheros chip routers. By the way, I'm trying to impliment OpenVPN client connection in DD-WRT firmware. Any tips on that? Cheers.
