Every big nation in soccer has been either humiliated or had a very disappointing tournament at the WC for the last 18 years. France in 2002, Italy and Argentina in 2010, Spain and Brazil in 2014, and Germany in 2018. It’s a sport of Ups and Downs, just like every other discipline out there.
I love both teams. This Spanish team seemed like the 2010 team. I thought it would be a good team. Even though I was only 9 at the time, I understood that this was a rare occasion for a World Cup winning team to lose to a strong but weaker Dutch side.
There's a lot of difference between them. Zidane scored 2 goals in a WC final. Won the worldcup too and became runner up in 2006. Robben didn't have such statistics, sorry.
